Agreed! The actual part is that the place that was takin place in was very corrupt! So corrupt they let these cop get away with everthing! A complete abuse of power!

This. This is what annoys me. What if black officers kill white people? It is not any different.
People need to stop acting like white on black crime is the ONLY crime, because it isn't. There are many other types of crime that need to be stopped, not just this kind. We should stop ALL crime.
The Black Officer would go to jail if he killed a white man, and if the white officer killed a black man, the white man is free! Like the the absolute Fuck! Not at all cool! Now if it white killed white or Black killed black, they would go to jail, no matter what. So this is a very racists case... yes there are many things that are crimes but the one that is the most hurtful, most hatful, most disrespectful crime is a racist crime! Now if the person got away with it that would make the whole world riot! Luckly i am in the place where they don't care but it will spread. Back to point, this crime is the crime that show what this country really is, a racist country! This country need to change, the civil war is comming.

Jacob, its only a racism case if you make it out to be. The officer didn't shoot him because he was blacl, he shot him because Brown was running at him.

It was kind of pointed out before, but I don't know if everyone understands that he was a criminal - like the police were looking for him since he robbed a drugstore of cigarettes or something. He refused, and the officer persisted.

Okay, where are you getting that Micheal Brown was a criminal? And even if he was, is shooting to kill a petty thief
really necessary?

Jacob, read GhostHawk's posts regarding this, please.
It is true that he robbed a drug store. Also, the guy was charging at him, he had every right to shoot. This wasn't an act of racism. The reason why he wasn't punished is because he was defending himself. Literally, the same scenario could happen if a black cop shot a white man.

Basically what i just said, although people still think it was abuse of power for some reason.
Even if he shot him more times than he needed, does it even matter? 50 shots wouldn't have killed someone more than 1 shot.

Let's pretend, for the sake of argument, that this isn't a race issue.
And let's agree that he acted in line with what is legal.
The person who successfully debilitates and then continues to try and kill that person instead of restraining them has responded to a situation that didn't need to end in death by causing death.
I will never be the kind of person that defends a person
like that by shrugging it off and saying his actions are legal. And I sure as shit wouldn't give that person... what is it now? Over a million dollars? I don't wanna look it up. I'll get sick.
Sometimes, we are forced to use violence in our lives to protect ourselves. Never
ever use that as a justifcation to use more violence than necessary. It's a terrible thing to do, and it not only breeds hate, but more violence, as we all have seen.
And also this:
DarkMatt wrote:Oh, and we've been being racist ironically for a while now. (Not implying that we all are, but the cover page of media has been.) We kind of made the bed to sleep in whenever things like this happens and suddenly racism is not funny anymore.

Like I would agree that it has nothing to do with racism if it was the only case but over the past few months there have been several cases like what about the one guy carrying a (i think it even was a toy) katana who got shot or the one case of the twelve year old who got shot for carrying a toy gun. tbh I'm not really buying Wilson's story. Also like all except for two witnesses said that Brown put his hands up and surrendered but in the end he was still shot.

Perhaps off topic, but what do you guys think about police officers wearing body cameras? Potential solution?

Not really. The problem is convincing officials to spend money on the cameras instead of armored vehicles and shit. Also, more government recordings in post-NSA revelations of spying doesn't really seem too good of an idea. There's also the possibility that the police could turn off the cameras and their department wouldn't give a fuck or they just leave it on and abuse their power anyway.
A better solution would be to not have the media over-hype police brutality, as if it will certainly happen to you. It just encourages the "police are pigs"/"fuck the police" mentality among civilians which causes tensions in the first place, and leads to the growing militarization rates of police forces. A lot of people are bullshitting that the police are racist, but when it is deemed "necessary and proper" that drones should be used to disperse riots, there's going to be bigger problems than identity politics.

Here is a list of things wrong with the Mike Brown case. I hope this will clear some things up.

Guess I was right. Police cameras won't do anything, especially when the Grand Jury decided to indict the guy who RECORDED this instead of the cop.

Fucking stop blaming racism for this.
Just because a white person killed a black person doesn't mean racism was the main reason behind it.
im very tempted to flame you

Garner had been previously arrested and was out on bail for selling untaxed cigarettes, driving without a license, marijuana possession, and false personation. Garner had a criminal record that includes more than 30 arrests dating back to 1980 on charges such as assault, resisting arrest, grand larceny. An official said the charges include multiple incidents in which he was arrested for selling unlicensed cigarettes

Hmm... ok then but still this officer abused his power as an officer to kill the man with hold that police officers are not supposed ro do anymore. This man did not think twicr not even once and killed the man, and man said "i can't breathe!" Did the officer let go? No! Which pisses me off... now we have 5x the riot and people are getting mote chaotic around the country, just people need to think more clearly and listen to people more instead of killing them. Kill them if the have a weapon only. It is my opinion on this though.

i mean ok? i'm not saying what the officer did was right (it wasn't) but his actions had nothing to do with fucking racism. the guy was criminal.
