May I ask why? Imagine it was like in Mario Maker where while you were restricted to one style all the enemies and objects were available in all styles. Would you still want to have something like, say, a Mario 1 Goomba in a Mario 3 level?
If SMBX was like this, how would the Credits Work?
I suppose the credits would be the one part of the game where you could change the style, but have it fit with the graphical theme of the global style.

So! That new game is coming out.
What do you think?
Me?
Well, it looks so much fun creating and playing other people's creations. That's all I got, except how it's got similar features that SMBX got. Did they take them from the engine when they made Andrew Spinks take his website down? IDK, but It still looks quite fun.
Tell me what you guys think.
It'll be good to know.
Watch this video from IGN if you don't know about it, or have heard it before, but need information about it!
Ok do we need mario maker as stickied or something, nah nvm.
That link and the one Sinem has posted will lead the the first, ir actual topic.

This game actually comes out on my 18th birthday. Who's going to try it out when it comes out?

No one...
Nah, jokes aside. I will probably look at it at some point. Definitely not getting it as soon as it releases though. I'm not THAT hyped for it.

How exactly are they similar to each other aside from both being Mario editors? Nintendo already has access to all the games' engines, why would they use SMBX's engine then?

Pls Nintendo don't do that. I don't want a run-time error when a mishroom falls into the lava.

SMBX was written in Visual Basic 6. Visual Basic 6 is a legacy, Windows only language. That's not happening.

Wow. That's a little much, I think. Even AAA PS3 and Xbox games aren't usually priced that high.

Well I mean, $70 for me, which is the price of a AAA title here. $60 in America.

I'll probably still end up getting this anyway. Maybe I'm hoping for too much, but I have a feeling that there still might be more of Mario Maker that we haven't seen.

Still hyped for this game, since, Mario maker (as already said), has things that smbx doesn't have. I like both editors. They are all good in diffrent things, just do not compare it please. Since, well, like Valterri said, you don't need scripts or custom graphics to make a enjoyable level. I understand that Nintendo wants to give players the freedom, and of course, alot of new stuff can be added to the game, but for now, i like it has how it is, now i can also troll my sisters with kaizo levels. XD
It might not be the cheapest of price, but i am still gonna get it anyway.

oh, whoops. I guess it isn't more expensive than I was expecting here.

It'd still be good if it had slopes. But oh well, I still want to give this game a go anyways once it comes out. Unlocking things might be meh, but at least it's not get some stuff every week or so.

i've been super positive about this game, especially since this past e3, but holy shit the unlock system is truly awful. why do i have to wait 24 hours TO BE ABLE TO PUT A MOTHERUFKCING FIRE FLOWER IN MY LEVEL? HELLO? WHY IS THIS SYSTEM A THING? WHY DOES NINTENDO NEED TO TREAT THE ENTIRETY OF ITS FANBASE LIKE RETARDED 12 YEAR OLD KIDS??????????

Because "we're Nintendo, we do what we want".Also, every fanbase have retarded 12-year-olds.
Yeah, Super Mario Maker's unlock system is their biggest flop since the Wii U's initial sales. 9 days to get the game fully working. It's like: "You started playing Legend of Zelda World Creator? You have to wait 2 weeks to get the entire package!".
Their second biggest mistake in the game is to have people to record their own sound effects. Can you imagine retarded 12-year-olds swearing to make a sound effect? It's like making today's pop music.

You could also warn Nintendo about the levels and have them taken down.
Besides, I think I might use it for my own good. Unlocking system is still terrible though.
