5 dollars on headaches, 10 dollars on I beat him to the punch.
Smart me would've waited for him to go, but here's a fun question: Joey or me, who would you want to lecture you?
Can we make it a rule to not be srstalk about this thread anymore? This thread was intended as a joke, and we should've treated it like one. (Just simply agree and set an example if you think so.)

I mean, Joey puts messages across better than you do, at least in my eyes.

I'm a good explanation for half your posts in that thread, and I could give less of a damn what you think about me right now.
However, as part of my job, I have to wonder why you refuse to respect the rest of the people you slandered. I can't just let you off free because I became your focus. "Respect is a two way street. People like you, Darkmatt and Ghosthawk don't show respect to the various users of this forum, why should I show respect back?" Making a comment like this is antagonistic no matter how you look at it. I don't care if you think we're worse, you don't get to act like this.
If you want to keep posting here, qig, I need you to not do this. If you're so bitter about this community and you don't want to take the effort to care, by all means, leave. However, if you want to start working towards getting this community back on track, I'm willing to forgive and value your opinion again.
Other mods would've just banned out outright and not give you a chance to defend yourself, qig. I'm giving you a chance.
This is getting out of hand.
attn
This is not a threat.
I'll respond to more points probably when I catch up, but this caught my eye and needed an immediate response.

I'll post as well:
I am only waiting on people to calm down before I start showing respect again. I know what you want and I am willing to work with you, but I can't do anything now until people stop.
This is acceptable, yes? When I do, I'll apologize for all I did wrong, and I did do plenty wrong. But I need assurance that I have an audience to speak to.
And as a reminder, there's been about 8 requests to not flame in this thread by 3 different mods. Please, if you want to continue, do it in a civil manner.
Now I'm gonna stop srsdiscussing this, because I'm gonna stop being an asshole and work towards that.

What happened to this.
Sorry for not getting to that. A response really isn't applicable at this point, but I will mention this:

Forgive me if this wasn't what you were talking about, but it's something that's been brought up before that needs addressing.
We aren't trying to make this place "the most mature community ever". What we're trying to do is make this community a comfortable place for all of us to talk about our stuff. It's better than it used to be in some respects, sure, but the biggest problem is one that's all too familiar: the maturity of our userbase. I'm not going to sugarcoat anything when I say that this community is immature and needs to improve. And the worst thing you can do (besides furthering the problem by acting immature) is say "we're never going to be mature because [we're a Mario community | SMBX always attracts kids | some other reason]" - that's the kind of attitude that we
really don't need here, as all it's doing is holding us back.
We need to be more of a family, and that's a task that involves everyone.

You're like 95% the reason people are even upset at this point.

You have to be really delusional to think that everyone will pull their weight here. In time I believe people will mature with age but this being (essentially) a kid's forum you're not going to get rid of the younger users who aren't very smart and know how to act online. To be fair I have not seen MANY comments like the examples you've listed and I certainly do not think that is the reason nobody here seems to be maturing. In time you all could act better in online social situations but there will always be new 12 year old Mario fans

I've been a part of more communities than just this one, and this one is easily one of the more mature communities out there, so I don't understand why the staff think that this community is just so incredibly immature. Yes, this community has its ups and downs, but every community will have that. About the part about how you can't expect maturity from a Mario community, I've never agreed with that. Mario doesn't just consist of the young, therefore making that point null.

Do you think that the focus shouldn't be on maturity then? It plays a part in the way things are handled by the moderators/administrators.

The focus isn't fully on maturity, more like synergy between staff and the community.

Yeah, because that's what we ban people for.
It's comments like these that aren't helping.

Since we're going to continue with targeting specific people, commenting on bans, and unspecific/generalized complaints then this is going to be locked.
