You don't need them. It won't change anything.

But this isn't necessary. Graphics don't makes any difference in the gameplay.MECHDRAGON777 wrote:I am asking because I have not the original player graphic! I would still like to judge, I am just stating I do not have the vanilla toad or peach graphics!
If I am a judge, which may or may not happen, I would record the levels under unlisted and send them each to the host! Givin a verbal review of each one, and have the review typed out for those who do not want a video!RzFx wrote:If recolors aren't allowed, the "Vanilla" should be replaced by "Non-Custom", because vanillas can use different palettes.

You do realize you don't get to set the rules if you are a judge, right?MECHDRAGON777 wrote:If I am a judge, which may or may not happen, I would record the levels under unlisted and send them each to the host! I know that, I am just trying to provide a differnt way to get the results if the user wants them!XerX wrote:You do realize you don't get to set the rules if you are a judge, right?MECHDRAGON777 wrote:If I am a judge, which may or may not happen, I would record the levels under unlisted and send them each to the host! I cannot remember the last time I saw that happen.Choco wrote:@XerX: Probably because the less experienced reviewers always give "0/10 no custom grafickz" Makes everyone think that levels HAVE to have CGFX.
Id love to be a judge :3TNTtimelord wrote:I wouldn't mind doing this at all! Can I be and pick judges?
That will probably be confirmed or not by Joey later on.Nickname wrote:I'll see if I apply as a judge depending of if I get chosen for MAGLX 2 or not. I hope the results for the 3rd judge are in in time.
Also, will this have a ToB-esque episode coming with it?
This. Someone who will use SMBX 1.3, and will put in his level for example, a grassy sizable block, it will be changed, let's say, to castle block in SMBX 1.3.0.1.. It may not fit the general theme of the level and judges may decrease the score. So the question is:-New SMB3 sizables have been added.
-New SMW sizables have been added.
No since shes not aviable in vanilla.MECHDRAGON777 wrote:Does Rosalina count as a vanilla graphic?
From what I understand, no additional files are allowed at all, you just submit the .lvl file. As for the version, obviously 1.3.0.1, since it has new stuff. If you don't have it, just download it!h2643 wrote:I like this idea, but I have a few questions.
1) Will the NPC text files allowed?
I don't think I should explain this one.
2) Will the recolors, expanded vanilla tilesets and custom music allowed?
Well, to make level more beautiful or more interesting to play.
3) Last and probably the biggest question. Look, not everyone can use SMBX 1.3.0.1.. Those who can not, obviously will use SMBX 1.3. As SMBX 1.3.0.1. was released, it had something interesting in the changelog:This. Which version of SMBX should we use for our contest levels?
That's all, still, this sounds like a fun idea! I wonder how many people can be creative without custom graphics.
sorry, I didn't read your post closely enough... how can you not use 1.3.0.1?12Me21 wrote:From what I understand, no additional files are allowed at all, you just submit the .lvl file. I wish we could have custom music, though. the existing music selection is really limited, and custom music files aren't as annoying to add as custom graphics.
