The graphics that I can think of still contain 1x1 pixels: Beer Bottle, Barkeep Toad, Toadette, East Dream Angel, Purple pillar heads, Green Thwomp, Blue Gomba Monster, Blue Ant thing, Circus tent (map), Purple Fortress (map), World 9 Map Boarder, Star Maidens. Anyone whoes good at fixing 1x1 feel free to remake them I'd use it.
If something needs to be patched I might make over a few in 2x2.
Only the Monster Party graphics from NES are low quality, everything else should be fine.

How do you even discern 1x1 pixels from 2x2 pixels? And why does it matter so much? Where do they appear in the screens?
(speaking of which, I wish there were some more screens)

"Kaizo Uberground" is not only Kaizo but straight impossible after the checkpoint.

those are the worst looking ones imo
people cares because it looks bad and unprofessionnal. I'm not saying the episode is bad but this is just plain ugly.

Professionality has absolutely nothing to do with 1x1 pixels generally being avoided. It's simply a matter of what looks good and what doesn't. In the context of a game where every single graphic is made up of 2x2 pixels, 1x1 pixels are gonna stick out like a sore thumb. That's why people care; not because they're "unprofessional" but because it doesn't look good.

How do you see so quickly what stands out and what does not? It's completely double dutch for me; nothing sticks out for me at all. The bottles in the first screen? And what exactly in the second screen? How differently would they look if they were 2x2, could I notice? (apparently there has to be something to it given that stageleft admits which graphics are 1x1)

-Edit- Yes 1x1 pixels look out of place in a 2x2 atmosphere. Its obviously something people love to pick at its a very small part of the episode.
I did however fix some of the really bad looking 1x1 for Mystic Atlus. The remaining might make up 5% of the episode's graphics.
Also Cedur you are right about that Kaizo level. Did you get the Feb 22nd Patch? I did make it slightly easier because it was crazy tough.

I'd generally say that the problem with the Kaizo area is that the Kaizo elements are nowhere passable without keeping your power-ups. It feels like there should be a hammer and tanooki suit at the beginning of every stage (I placed those myself). And yeah to explain more on "Kaizo Uberground", the idea of using the key to defeat the obstacles is not viable in the slightest. Furthermore I told you to remove the forced grinder damage at the start of Impossible Atlus. Let players have their power-ups and Yoshi if they like

The way to hanndle the Kaizo stages (unless you are insanely good at SMBX) is to explore the rest of world 9 first. There is powerful power-ups nearby that are easy to load up your character with.
I'm working on a final patch that will fix the remaining crappy graphics, 1x1 gfx, music tweak and whatever else is found. It won't affect your save because the map is 100% done.

The only easily accessible house in World 9 is "World 9 Bonus", but there are hazards which make it hard with zero power, and it also doesn't provide a hammer. And even with a good toad house nearby, going back and forth gets annoying when dying many times.

So I've worked hard on fixing a bunch of graphics and went ahead with another patch. I've noticed Cato Wong is doing a complete playthrough so I will be adjusting fixes according to his videos. So there may be yet another patch eventually. I will address your concerns Cedur with that patch as well.

Probably a real dumb question, but where is the .exe?

it's a .zip file, you put it into the Worlds folder of your installation and extract it there

No. It's two guys acting like SMB1 Bowser ... what are they called again, mini-kraids? And what's wrong with the boss?

I still think the ludwig + boom boom generator should been removed instead

Instead of wholly removing the generator maybe just think of a different enemy spawning from it, or increasing the spawn time. That boss didn't annoy me too much anyway, I found it quite amusingly creative

Yes the mini Kraids. Just seemed like an annoying thing to deal with after that stage.
TheNewGuy, I think you have a point. I'm starting to think some of the boss battles need an upgrade for the episode to feel 100% complete.
-Edit- Confirmed, working on the final patch for better/more boss fights. Fixing bad hitboxes and minor touch ups. This is what happens without test players...
