The mostly orchestrated soundtrack was very humorous and empowering.
Night Swimming was wonderful. As I was playing it, the music really spoke to me, and my eyes began to water.
Flying with Squawks was great as well.
Cons:
The desert and ghost worlds were very difficult. They usually lacked power-ups, but then something such as a Tanooki Suit would suddenly appear.
I didn't like the second airship invasion, as your usual lack of checkpoints and power-ups made this insanely difficult and tedious.
The stars could have had a greater purpose, and the story could have been fleshed out more.
There's probably more for me to talk about, but that's all I'll say for now. Please take care!
Can you tell me some more pros and cons please?
And I dont really think that the desert world was so hard.
And maybe the ghost world was a bit hard.. but it's because that world was before the second airship and the final castle.
The thing that I think that really was very hard is the final boss.

Pros:
The jungle world was fantastic. I love all of the different settings that are still related to jungles.
Because of the many custom graphics, your episode looks like it could be it's own game, which I find amazing.
The title will be one I remember for a very long time.
Cons:
There is a severe lack of power-ups and an overabundance of coins. I also don't understand why you keep placing two ? blocks together.
The pipes don't usually work, unless absolutely required to. Even then, they're sometimes not need.
Certain enemies, such as the desert Cobrats and Castlevania knights, can't be jumped on, when they don't appear dangerous.
Nadav wrote:And I dont really think that the desert world was so hard.
It was. Hardly any power-ups appear, those cursed condors fly everywhere, the Albatross are difficult to stay on, and the Cobrats shoot too much fire together.
Nadav wrote:The thing that I think that really was very hard is the final boss.
After the forsaken ghost continent, the final boss fight was nothing.

So In conclusion, which grade would you give to this episode?

It's not all that important to give you a grade or a score between 0 and 10, it's rather important that you're given feedback which you can use to improve your episode or your future works overall

While Cedur is right, I'll give this episode a solid 85% B grade. Although it has problems, I still enjoyed playing. Most of the challenge was fair, and several levels were beautifully designed. Well done, Nadav, and I wish you the best in the future.

I don't recommend this for the following reasons:
-sloppy/uncreative overworld
-long levels without any checkpoints
-not enough powerups
-bland and repetitive gameplay
-too easy/almost non-existent difficulty curve
-doesn't include all (or almost all) custom death animations
-contains ridiculously long songs that waste bandwidth (some are more than a half hour long, and one is nearly an hour and a half)
See, this is why people shouldn't upload the first set of levels they make, and what results is a mediocre episode that impresses no one--never forget to keep developing your skills.

I'm not judging the validity of your criticism but, why so negative? Instead of framing this like "these levels are poor for [reason], I don't recommend playing", you can rather frame it like "hey I have to say [this and this], can you think about improving it?" Oh, and people should always upload their first set of levels. Not only you're denying everyone the chance at their first works already being good, but if they don't upload, how are they supposed to be given feedback?

I agree with Cedur. These are all valid points but if you are going to give feedback please ensure it is constructive and you are explaining yourself thoroughly. This almost feels like tearing the episode apart maliciously.

What is the point in high quantity of powerups, if the episode is too easy?
And why in the world the quality of episode/levels should depend on its difficulty? If you think that every player wants ultra hardcore levels, then you got it wrong.

What do these reasons have to do with the quality of the level? I seriously can't think of a reason not enough powerups would change the quality.

I'm talking about good reviews after playing the episode not just before playing it.
And Yes, Super Luigi gave me a good review before and after.
I want to see some more good reviews after playing it, Just like Super Luigi gave me.
And I really will be very happy if someone with a succesful youtube channel like bossedit8, shows this episode on youtube while playing it.

You are exaggerating. The gameplay of my episode is not bad at all! I mean, maybe it's not too pro like at luigi's fight for the mushroom kingdom or the restoration but it still good.
And not all the death animations of the custom enemies are missing there are maybe just 2 that are missing.
Your message can make poeple not to play it and that's not cool.

Please take constructive criticism into count.

clicked on this because of the thread title. a little bit disappointed on the story cause it's not what i expected but anyways,
judging on the screenshots, it looks like the levels are a little bit too striaght-forwarded, which doesn't necessarily mean it's bad but it makes the level uninteresting and forgettable. play around with some layers and events, other npc interactions, lunalua and such. maybe those will help
