This is a Mario forum, I assume as a baseline that everyone is a kid unless they indicate otherwise. And his writing style makes it pretty obvious as well.

It's somewhat obvious, although this was more about "everyone is a kid" as the general assumption for how old people are in general on here

I think it's a natural assumption considering the subject matter of the site. I don't know what the actual age breakdown of the userbase is.
