Ok, I have to say this. This looks spectacular. I never see a SMBX contains bullets that has a much more variety almost like at the Touhou Games. I am making a SMBX Episode that is Mario and Touhou related ("Mario Adventures - Arrival on Gensokyo") so I am really looking forward on your creativity.

Wow! What interesting mechanism ! Really!
Hmm, maybe it's a sort of SMBX VER. 1.4 . However good screens.

QUEST: This episode is a Boss Hub or it's a episode where there're levels ?

Thanks for all!

I'm trying to make a funny project - More Guns. But I don't have enough graphics..:(
I will set NPC's HP and get guns some functions. It could look like Metal Slug.(H/E/D/G/F/S/R/C guns..)
我真的不懂英语,好多好多单词短语什么的完全没看懂,只能勉强辨别内容@_@
果然国外论坛什么的好蛋疼,想表达某个意思就是表达不出..

Ok, good project however. It's always a good idea for SMBX. However you can find more graphics in the NEW CGFX PACK (ULTIMATE).

The screenshots can very well be fake. At first I didn't believe this at all, but there are things in the video that I don't know how they would be executed without any .exe modifications. Here are the ones that I can explain, however.

1. The projectiles: He attached a rapid Rinka spawner and a Volcano Lotus fireball spawner to the Goomba.
2. The Small Mario firing Hammers that don't fall: It's the Hammer Mario but the sprites are changed to Small Mario sprites. The Hammers have nogravity=1 applied which makes them not fall back down. He's also using God Mode which prevents him from getting hit and revealing that he's using the Hammer power-up.
3. The weird slowdown: That can be created by unchecking frameskip at the SMBX start up window. The large amount of projectiles on the screen at the same time create the lag.

Then I watched the rest of the video. Too many projectiles with AIs that no other NPC in SMBX has. They could be NPCs with some codes that I can't think of right now but that's very unlikely. And the Paragoomba instantly respawning when hit dead by the hammers isn't something you could do with SMBX's generator feature. He could have created tens of layers with the Goomba and attached them to each other and have them enable the next layer when dead but I doubt anyone would put that much effort into a fraud...

So yeah, I thought I'd post my thoughts and why it could be fake but I think I believe this is real. I think it's a bit suspicious that he used Godmode throughout the video but I can't explain half of the projectiles so why am I still trying to prove it's fake. Looking forward to more of this!

Please make the event window bigger. I always like to see what I'm doing when I'm using the Events tab, and I can barely make out the events name on your thing (you know because it's so small). Also, I tend to use long event names but eh whatever.

Maybe he replace the effect of the goomba with a NPC which have noblockcollision=1. After he attach the paragoomba at the generator of that NPC.

What the hell. It has been far too long since I looked through the Projects forum, this is fantastic. If you've truly created a new SMBX version, you sir are truly a hero to the community.

Of course, this could also turn out to be fake. But I'm hoping.

Fake? How do you know? We'll have to wait for more confirmation.

While I'm extremely skeptical, we don't yet have any proof whether this is real or not. Until we get some sort of confirmation, you can't say without any reasonable doubt that it is fake. It probably is, but we don't know that.

It's not fake, since it's impossible to do those things with rinkas, and look on the HUD, the numbers lower when he gets hit so he's clearly not using godmode.

He could've assembled those "screenshots" in photoshop to fake it though. That'd be a hell of a lot easier to do than actually adding new code to SMBX.

i think making something like that would take a month or 2

Actually it'd probably take a day or two at the most.

Looks like some mix of Minecraft, Terraria and Team Fortress 2. It's not too bad for a game that is meant to be a Minecraft-ish game.

But one question, what happened to the SMBX-like game you wanted to make before? Why did you stop development on it?
