Last year I brought back 6 pounds of candy. I went up by some mansions or wherever the rich people live and they hand out king-size candy bars by the truckload.

Haha, I used to love trick-or-treating in rich neighborhoods. They always gave out the most candy, it was great.

Most trick-or-treaters in my town range from 3 to 16, so I plan to at least do some runs and swing by the rich neighborhoods before I go to my Friday Night Magic tournament which is still going on Friday (plus there's a costume contest and the winner receives more cool stuff). I figure if I stock up on candy and then go to the FNM tournament I'll have plenty of snacks to eat in between games. Works out pretty perfectly.

So I'm not the only one
I'm in high school and all the seniors are gonna wear costumes, I bet.
I stopped when I was 11 I think. Still go trick or treating though because

I stopped trick or treating when I was 13. I usually go places during Halloween though (like Halloween parties and stuff), but I don't dress up or trick or treat. Didn't go anywhere last year though, I was stuck giving out candy.

So yeah.
Halloween =/= Trick or Treating.
There are plenty of people that dress up/cosplay in costumes on Halloween and they don't go trick or treating, and some of them are in their early 20's and late teens. Some girl did a really good cosplay of Elizabeth from BioShock Infinite last year. I plan on going as Ezio from Assassin's Creed next year, this year I'm A SPOOKY GHOST.
^ This.
(Though I have still seen some pretty big kids still getting a good load of that candy.)

I don't understand why you guys quit so early. Nobody judges you if you go when you're 16 in my neck of the woods, so I'm going to go up until then. It gives me candy I don't have to even spend money on, which is a good thing because most of the time I go broke from buying candy. The only two times I didn't get to go trick-or-treating was during some big freak Nor'easter snow storm we had back in 2011 the downed power lines, poles, and trees and left us snowed in for about a week, and then another time when I got sick with the flu.
I'm taking all of the chances I can get to go trick-or-treating while I'm still young just so I can take candy from people. :P

I'm not worried about people judging me, I just don't think spending all that time and money for a costume is worth it for a 6 hour or so time period.
But I still go trick or treating without a costume because
New profile avatar change for Halloween :]

In my town you're not allowed to go without a costume because nearly everyone cosplays which is cool. As I said, next year I'm going as Ezio, and I know somebody that does Renaissance reenactments and they would be able to get me a really good lead on a costume for Ezio, which I'm going to work on for the majority of the year.

My town doesn't care if you're dressed up or not as long as you don't egg their house

I thought about cosplaying as the joker for my school's football game which just so happens to be tonight (but it's late and has likely ended by now) but I had absolutely NO resources for any sort of costume.
