Coin Fountains?

Postby DaSpongeBobMan » Fri Oct 24, 2014 11:45 am

Two years ago, I had this Mario game called NSMB2. It was really cool, it also had coin fountains. But I need a LunaDLL code for that, where it lets you pick an NPC Identity and the amount of NPCs(followed by the ID). The effect of a coin fountain is exactly like when any player(other than Mario) hits a block with a certain amount of coins, those coins will spit out of the block and makes the coin sound when you hit it. The coin limit that it will generate will increase from 1 to 100. Got it? :D

You don't have to use lunadll for that.
Just make a Layer which is a Coin Generator that is set to projectile.
And as soon as you hit the block, let the generator appear.

Right but when the coins come from it, it's supposed to fall down to the ground and move randomly, you know like in NSMB2.

You can't do it any better with LunaDLL.

The coins in SMBX all are hard-coded to nogravity=1, meaning you can't make them fall to the ground after being shot from a block, pipe, whatever, unlike other NPCs. You could have some POW Blocks detonate as the coins are being spawned to force them to fall, but the results aren't too nice, plus you've got the added POW earthquake. Unfortunately you can't change how Coins act, I've tried making a Coin Fountain as well and there is no "Good" way of doing this even with Lunadll as Shade has said.

Why did the creator hard-code them? Can we still contact him?

You know that SMBX was forced to be canceled by Nintendo right? And the creator does not care about SMBX.
