Yep. Zelda Classic is what I'm talking about. Do you know it? I think it's a REALLY nice editor, just like SMBX. They are both simple to use and allow for creativity.

Yeah, I know it. I've never made a Zelda game on there myself, but I've downloaded and played a couple. It's a very nice and accurate editor overall.

Maybe because you didn't have an email and typed a fake one? The activation email works like that and maybe the fact that you typed a fake email is the cause of this.

I know it in someone's share.
I start play SMBX in 2009/12,and I find the editor.exe(1.1.2 version)! In fact,I play and used editor in MarioWorker and SuperMarioX(Chinese Mario fan game) before SMBX.
Oh,SMBX can edit level too!
There are much objects to use,SMB1,SMB2,SMB3.SMW and Zelda,Metroid objects!
in new version 1.2(beta),it can use custom GFX,I'm so excited! So I like SMBX.

For me, it's been a very long story, and this will really take a long time. I think it might have to be placed in a spoiler as well. xD
Okay, so it all happened in 2012, when i was quite a little kid. I was very interested in the Mario franchise, especially New Super Mario Bros. Wii, SMB3, SMB1 and also Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii (A hack). So i wanted to create custom levels of my own. I then randomly found a video with SMBX stuff in it, made by Bossedit8. So i clicked on that link, and right after i saw the playthrough, the thought in my head turned into:"I MUST GET THIS GAME." So, i went to download SMBX. However, as i did not see this website and i went onto another website to download the game, i got the "You need to be an adminstrator to run this program" problem. I literally raged, seeing how an awesome game could not be played. After that rage, i decided to download Mario Builder, which was my favourite game for 1 year. I even finished an entire game on it.
Now, in 2013: I decided that Mario Builder was too laggy, and i could not put custom graphics and music in properly, nor there was the "text and chat" feature in it. I felt as if i should have gone back to SMBX, but i still continued Mario Builder, knowing that i would be met with that message again if i were to download it. However, i got bored of Mario Builder in 2014. Still, i watched Bossedit's playthroughs and stuff, and i finally found the courage to try downloading SMBX, but this time from the official website. Shortly after that, to my amazement, it finally worked, and i was so happy. Also, i found the forums, and i was real interested in it. So, i watched tons of tutorials on youtube, and also created a forum account.
Aaand, that's it! The very long story! The summary would be: I would not have been here if not for Bossedit8. He's awesome.

I am Not sure if another editor will top this level editor.
You can do so much with it
Some people prefer Lunar Magic (SMW Editor) but it is MUCH harder to use.

I got a video of bossedit8 in my recommended videos (iirc it was Screwed-Up 1-1 by HenryRichard), I liked it and downloaded SMBX. Later that day German YouTuber HerrDekay uploaded a video in that he says he's gonna play levels submitted to him, which motivated me makings my first level. I found it to be pretty bad, but he liked it. I'll probably remake it one day with Custom GFX and better level design. Then I made Cliffs of Subcon, which got an 6.75 which is pretty decent for the first real level if you ask me and two project levels for Radishl and Christian07.

Went into a phase when I was nine, I was all MARIO MARIO MARIO-- ahem.
Just before my KIRBY KIRBY KIRBY phase I discovered SMBX by accident.
Few years later I was bored and remembered SMBX. Downloaded the game again and started watching bossedit8.

I played Super Mario Flash a lot just for the level editor, but there was so little to choose from and I wanted to upgrade. I searched on Google for a Mario level editor and came across Mario Builder but it never seemed to work on my computer. It would always say my computer was too old basically and couldn't open the game. I searched again and found that the site I was using to play Super Mario Flash had it's own game called SMBX and that site was called SuperMarioBrothers.org. On December of 2009 I downloaded SMBX without a second thought and it worked. I just made levels and episodes and no one worried about "clash" back then. I never really knew about the forum on the website and didn't join or get into it at all. When updates happened I would download the newest version and I found out my friend knew about the game too. When 1.3 came out I started to visit the forums as a guest just to download custom graphics and those two forums I visited were Knuckles96's and CaptainTrek's forums. I know quite a bit of history from observing the forums but I never joined. Anyway SMBX was the greatest Mario game maker ever and still is.

Before I came here, I an Hedgewars community member.
While I found info and pictures about Mario universe, I found Sarasaland Adventure 2 in july of 2013 year: http://rpgmaker.net/games/5438/ when it was in "Demo" state. I started experiments with editor to make own levels for this game. And later I found original SMBX 1.3 and learn about it's stopping of development. After half of year after I got lots of errors and found than SMBX is too slow on my PC because it eating much CPU power and written on ineffective and legacy (even for 2009-2011 years) platform VisualBasic6 and have much unfixed bugs which will never by fixed because development is stopped. For example, when I start play "Sarasaland Adventure", when I enter on some levels, SMBX was crash with type mismatch error, and later I learned about this bug: because my national standard of decimals is comma but dot is necessary instead. Therefore I doesn't like VisualBasic with his stupid float pointer numbers parser. And when in December I got purpose to create better and compatible engine for those games.
