Eh, it's hard to call it a bug but I agree it's unintended (I meant "legitimate" literally in my last post). How do you plan to handle this kind of situation in VSMBX, by the way? Being able to crouch-slide under one tile high gaps using momentum from a run is a classic Mario technique. Will the player always slide in the same direction if they stand, or not be able to stand up at all or something?

When I was testing Mario's ducking position, yup it's implemented, I tried moving left and right and Mario moved while crouching. At first this was a bug because Mario shouldn't be able to move while ducking. Then I figured this can be a really useful feature if it were worked around, so here's a new idea I had:

A new Cat Mario powerup with the ability to crawl in places that small Mario would only be able to enter, like one block tall gaps. The new frames for crawling would need to be implemented otherwise it would look like Mario is sliding to the left and right while ducking, so this means I'll need graphic designers in the future.

Just a heads up though not to report this as a bug since I plan to take advantage of it in the future. What does everyone think?
the funny thing is, today i was gonna Suggest a similar feature, only... slightly different...

My idea was if you push down twice while holding a blue koopa shell, you will be inside it as it slides in the direction you are facing, if you push alt jump it will make you eject the shell. If you push regular jump however, then you are blue shell Mario from NSMB1 the abilities of the powerup are:

1.Push down while running to go into shell mode
2.When in shell mode You block fireballs
3.Push down while running to go into Sliding shell mode
4.While in sliding shell mode, you act just like a koopa shell, meaning you slide in the same direction until you hit a block, and kill all foes in your path, as well as being able to break any blocks a koopa shell can break.(Plus you can still block fireballs)

So yeah, that was my idea.

Honestly, I would love to have more power-ups from the mario bros DS like the shell and the mini-mushroom for example

By the way Ghostie, if you're going to implement a Cat Mario like Power-Up will you add the ability to wall jump as well?

No wall climbing. That's going to keep people from using them in levels, kind of like Blue Koopas. Also, any easter eggs are going to inflate my ego, not yours. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

That's a bug though.
I dont think thats a bug, the official Mario games had that as a countermeasure against getting stuck inside walls. Pretty sure thats intentional.

Only walls, not the ceiling? A powerup thats only function is to move while ducking feels rather useless.

To be honest I think that being able to walk while ducking should just overall be a feature that you always have since it feels useless to have something that simple for a power up,so I agree with you on this.

In the official Mario games, you always clip in the same direction no matter which way you face, so you can't really use it as much as you can in SMBX.

I agree it's not a bug though, more of a physics exploit or similar.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about that part of it.

Blue Koopas allow Yoshi to fly, which can make levels really easy if it has a Yoshi somewhere in it. Lakitu's shoe can also fit this as well.

But that Lakitu's shoe has infinity frying without the need to touch the ground again to fly again. - Not like Yoshi.

Still makes levels easy though if it can be abused which was my point.

What I also was trying to say is, the Blue Lakitu's Shoe should be changed to the same aspect as Yoshi's aspect...or have an option.

What about custom bosses? Do they will have more customizable things? I don't really know about what to do with this suggestion but I would like to know some things for the custom bosses... or ideas.........

If bosses' hitpoints can be adjusted then virtually any boss can be created using a customized Mother Brain.

I'd advise also allowing MB to be affected by fireballs and jumps.

Well as I've said before NPC config will be in the editor so this will be allowed anyway.

Idea: Add costoum sound effect options, this could allow users to add voice acting to story oriented episodes, and have so many more features!
