Help with saving a level

Postby Zeldamaster12 » Sun Oct 12, 2014 8:31 pm

When I save my level, it doesn't seem to show up in my files. I'm saving it onto the SMBX file (I've tried the worlds file before, it won't work either).

Any help?

EDIT: While trying to further attempt to save the level, I found out how. I had to make a separate folder outside of the SMBX folder for the level, and it worked. This can be locked now.

Make sure the SMBX file is actually in the C drive, and that you're actually saving to the lócation in the C drive and not to a carbon copy stored somewhere else. Locate where you saved the SMBX file there, and all your levels should be there.

Compatibility files. Just search there.

I looked all through the C drive, and I can't find it. It opens on the editor, but I can't find the file when on the File Explorer.

The compatibility files isn't a folder in C drive. When you click a file, above there are some settings and one is called compatibility files. Search there.

I don't see a setting that says Compatibility Files. I'm on Windows 8.

I'm very bad explaining things. Oh well. Here's an image:

File compatibilità = Compatibility files. I don't think you need to know what the other words means.
Anyways, just click there. It usually show up when you click a certain file.

This Image looks like it was made with Windows 7. Sadly, I am also the one who uses Windows 7 as of now so I tecnically can't help you out as much but the other Members up there do surely have some neat response as of how to fix the problem but of course it is never that easy to begin with.

Maybe you can check the "Help and Support" inside your PC for further Info as of how to use them.

Please, someone who has Windows 8, help me with my problem. I literally cannot post my level otherwise.

No, It can be in any location, as long as your smbx files are there. For instance, I have my smbx stuff in the pictures folder.

Not trying to be rude, but did you try using google to find out how to show compatibility files? Here's something I found that may help (though IDK if it actually works seeing as I don't have windows 8): https://secure.chamsys.co.uk/forum/view ... f=1&t=2173

SMBX won't let me save my levels in anywhere but the C and D drives. I tried making a new folder to save it in, and that didn't work either.

Of course I tried Googling it, and I couldn't find any webpages that were any help. I've already seen the one you've linked, but thanks for trying to help still yet.
