Even if you don't use lunadll, you can still play the episodes and levels of people who use it!
1. HUB Removing - finally! Full screen cutscenes and dramatic emptier screens!
2. NPC Replacing - this is only one function of one command but it is full of merit! Cannons that shoot fireballs, veggies, or iceballs! Hammer Bros. that throw rinkas, shells or Goombas! Infinite boss possibilities! Custom powerups!
3. Boss Health - ever wanted to just have a shorter or longer boss without any awkward effects? This is it! In addition you can use TriggerSMBXEvent to trigger SMBX events (shocker) when the boss is at a certain health - talking, more backup enemies, etc!
4. Custom Powerups - ever gotten bored of "yippee the same leaf in 1-3 like every other episode"? How about changed speed$ or jumping? Throw some pow blocks instead of hammers? Just a SML2 carrot? I almost forgot the gold flower!
5a. Custom Enemies - phantos and Z2 bubbles are already made! Think about it - complete custom enemies made from scratch! That's small but it's 2 more than you had in 2013! Don't forget that custom Bros. and Dino Torches have been modified from existing NPCs too
5b and 6a - custom sprites - custom collectable things... That can set permanent variables... Without stars? Across the whole game? Time to make an episode with post game content! Don't forget the metroid-like levels!
6b and 7a. Permanent Variables Misc. - switch palaces, NPCs that congratulate you for completing a level, doors that magically APPEAR when you have an amount of stars... Did I mention making certain tasks non-repeatable EX. Getting a key or fighting a mid boss?
7b. Multiple Checkpoints Without Stars - Step 1. Collect the custom item Step 2. Set a variable to trigger an SMBX event that shows a door permanently 3. Tada!
8. Showing Text - finally, a way to make cutscenes and talking without "deedle-de-deep" on every message! For a great use of this see the A2MBXT tutorial
9. Yoshi, Shoe, and Powerup Filters - Why force the player to hurt themselves or abandon a blue boot when you can cut out the middleman?
10. Improved Autoscroll - have you gotten bored of autoscroll levels that either have no checkpoints or turn into a normal level in section 2? The wait is ogre*! There's even an example of a checkpoint INSIDE an autoscroll section! (But I can't find it or I would post it here)
11. Gravity - Can I interest you in some space levels?
12. Level Timer - it's just like the classic Mario games!

$There's still problems with SMBX trying to cap the speed but I'll bet this will cease to be an issue later
