More than 1 power-up in a block

Postby Cloth Pocket » Sat Oct 11, 2014 4:28 pm

Is it actually possible to put more than one Mushroom/Power-up in a block?
If so, can you tell me how? :)

You can use generators, if you'd like.
Also it needs to be on a layer which turns on when you hit the block, which should have the initial power-up on it.

1. Make a layer and rename it "Power-ups";
2. Make an event called something or what else. The event should show the layer of the power-ups;
3. Take a block and in the events, under hit, put the event I explained before.

There, hope it helps.

Yeah, but what I mean is so that a mushroom will actually come out of
the question-mark block, not appear above the block, but thanks anyway. :)

If you use a warp-generator it will look like it's coming out of the block

Yeah, you can do something like if a Power Up is coming out by working with Generators and if it is coming out you can make sure that after like 1 second or so after he is been "activaded" (like if a Power Up is coming up, the "Activation" Event triggers and after like 1 Seconds or so (you decide) it will disappear to prevent from keep generating more of them)...

Alternatively, you could have a fixed number of powerups by placing multiple blocks in the same spot, except on different layers. What you would do is hide all but one layer, and then have the visible block trigger an event that switches it with one of the other ones, and then do the same thing with the others. If you apply "No Smoke", they will all look like the same block.
