Does this level have what it takes to be the best, pretty good, average, or does it deserve to be dumped in the trash can? You're about to find out.
Initially...
It wasn't good, it wasn't bad, but it was just right...
Generally...
I first started the level, and immediately spotted immense clash. Super Mario Bros. 3 NPCs colors/general palette isn't compatible with Yoshi's Island background and scenery. So I additionally see overlapping BGOs; that's a huge no-no because if you think about it in a real cave or forest you wouldn't see an overgrowing flower on top of an arrow sign, it's just the way it is. I keep heading right, and see six coins pointing downward. I land on the slope, heading left since I'm partially anxious to see what lies there; but first of all, I would admire to point out two things; you put oodles and gobs of pink flowers in a row, and then talk about colossal clash, you have these yellow and purple flowers that look like a kindergartener drew (no offense), I would totally remove them I believe.
Along with a fire flower, there's a Koopa Troopa. However, I would strongly advise you to keep the power-ups in question blocks otherwise it's highly unrealistic thinking how such a valuable thing to Mario can remain there that long without withering. I head back to the right, and would recommend that you add some scenery to the slopes; leaving the ground cluttered and slopes empty is a very peculiar combo, I think so some flowers/bushes can be put there.
I head up to the second platform with three question blocks, and discover a vine in the middle and the two others containing coins. I also spot a red Koopa Troopa with a fence behind him where a lot of flowers lie; once again, the signifies overlapping which is a huge no-no to my perspective. I head up the vine, spot another Red Koopa, and see a huge downhill; a clashing tree. I don't know what game that is from, but whatever it is it's kind of misplaced, so I'd remove it or have the entire level styled Yoshi's Island which would be incredibly complicated to maneuver, but that's optional if you want more professional graphic designers to help you.
Climbing up the second green vine, there's a... a... clashing Goomba which comes from Super Mario World so its palette clashes with the rest, once again if you're going to stick with the whole level being SMB3 then have an SMB3 Goomba, YI, then have a YI Goomba, and SMW, than have an SMW Goomba, it's just the way it works. So to the left, there comes a dragon coin with three regular coins below it. Anyway, I travel back down the two vines, and head to the intentional path, which is right typically. Over there, there is another Goomba along with many coins and overlapping decoration. What caught my attention, though, was the five question blocks I stumbled upon; but unfortunately they all have coins. I keep going to the right, killing the red Koopa Troopa along with collecting coins, and then am above a bridge wondering how to get that dragon coin. But figure out all you have to do is drop down, which I formally considered death. Before collecting it, I went ahead and killed the enemies and got the four question blocks, one containing a leaf that would be helpful.
I got the clashing dragon coin using the clashing springboard, you should get the SMB3-styled version of both (PM me if there's any graphics I'm talking about that you want the download link of to add to your level). Either way, I climbed up the vine and went to the left and found two abandoned Koopa Troopas with a clashing SMW-styled 1-up, use the SMB3 one in the default board for SMBX. Afterwards, I navigated myself to the right and then before I knew it found two SMW-styled Goomba generators, and then three separated coin blocks which each individually contain coins. I keep going right, and find two more questions blocks having coins and below it four brown blocks with some coins under it, then pretty much unacknowledged those and kept going where there were two red Koopa Troopas, and two Goombas then killed them off and jumped to the next ledge which has pretty much nothing, and then I fell down two see an utterly brutal SMB2-styled bombs which clash (ask me for the SMB3-styled versions if you desire) and then find that if you kill the Koopa the whole "tank" explodes. To the left of it lies a clashing dragon coin and clashing blue coins (you know what to do).
Heading back to the right, I climb up the vine and see a springboard and then jump on it and there is a dragon coin. Dropping down, I see a checkpoint which I obviously hit to my advantage. Above it has four question blocks which each contain coins. To the right, there's another spring board and I jump up to the top of the temple/castle part and then find a 1-up, which is splendid. I then enter the (clashing) door from the castle sizable and find myself into some sort of overgrown temple paradise. I particularly loved this section, with the moving blocks and such. However, I will say it requires more a variation of enemies than just red Koopas. That's something I noticed about this entire level, pretty much just red Koopas. Anyway, I collect the final dragon coin and briskly get the hell out of there and find a clashing door with clashing ghost house background objects with a block containing a mushroom on the right... my only educated assumption would be a BOSS.
My only offensive words to the boss was that it was pretty well... awful. I could not beat it and considered it impossible because after the bombing stage a huge lag occurs and you're technically forced to get killed by a Spark. I never beat it, so I did it with God Mode. And turns out, even with God Mode feature enabled, I get the prodigious lag which somehow forces me off the edge every time. Otherwise, I guess your boss was intended to be difficult, but not impossible which it is to my way of looking at things.
Overall Score...
4/10, I must say as a lesson to learn for the first section, it's not about the custom graphics, it's about how you used them and the BGOs showed a huge disappointment along with the boss particularly.
