I still just wondering...are you going to make limitations on Block, BGO's, Warps and NPC's placing? - I hope not!
And also, how many votes do you want on the poll do you want, until you will add Link to VSMBX?

I was review current build and I have next:
1) You should use System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().Location instead of "C:/VSMBX", it will make application more portable and path will be relative to application folder directly. Application should can work inside any directory without using of manually written absolute paths.
2) VSMBX crashing on Windows XP (.NET 4.0) and on Windows 7 (.NET 4.5):, here is a report messages: http://wohlnet.ru/sentfile/VSMBX_1.0.0. ... report.zip
Also when you using other libraries, you should put them together with application, not any people have them.
In next time you should deploy application without installation and you should pack any libraries which you use with application.

I'll be making an installer, but using the exe download at the bottom of the first post in this thread should take care of those errors.

Good work for releasing the Beta version of VSMBX Ghostie! I'll be testing it later today and post a review later.

Now for a suggestion (could be difficult, if not impossible):
Could you allow the editing of the player code per project, similar to NPCS? No need for basic codes yet, but it would be cool to alter what frames Mario uses for walking, jumping, etc. and to make custom powerups that work differently from default VSMBX, like a mod.
This sounds possible but will take awhile to implement.

That would be so cool and you will get more downloads simply because people can creates characters that you don't want to create yourself (like sonic for example or samus, etc) thank you for all the efforts your takken to do this

Hate to bring this up, but every time I download this, my computer says it's potentially dangerous. Unless you're working on this issue now, I hope you get this program to be virus free so I can play it

Most if not all of the time when you download an exe, it will be flagged as dangerous because they usually are. Try this link to download the installer instead: https://www.sendspace.com/file/al0t8v

That's because it's a ZIP, and it's out of date though use the link above for the most recent version. Be sure to keep the installation path to its default: C:\VSMBX\ otherwise it won't work unless you create the content directories manually.

I'm not sure if its my computer itself or your editor but the screen (the level screen if you know what I mean) is kind of glitchy (like a blue rectangle at the bottom and the impossibility to build or erase anything at the right or bottom. is it my computer resolution screen (1680 x 1050) or its your editor that has the problem

That issue is on your side. I can't do anything about it.

Beta 1.0.0.8 is here:
Download 1: https://www.sendspace.com/file/4oc2jm
Download 2: https://mega.co.nz/#!EQ833CpZ!QjsuWV2KK ... Kk57nAHEQI
More download sites will be coming soon.
1.0.0.8 should have all of the previous errors that people have been running into resolved, and if there are still some a message box will come up showing what's wrong. You can choose to install VSMBX wherever you like on your machine now, and don't have to worry about copying content. However, you do need to launch the .EXE file in the same directory as the content directories similar to where the smbx exe is located with its content directories.
Leave replies with any errors or bugs, or on the official VSMBX forums.
If you get any warnings before your download starts, this is is because you are downloading an .EXE file from the internet which is a common method for viruses to spread. Proceed the download, but if you're still not sure run a security scan if you wish.

If it's being blocked automatically try configuring your security settings/antivirus. If not there should be a "Proceed"/"Continue"/something similar button to download anyway.

This will be happening because you use an old version of Google Chrome, or you use IE or a old version of Mozilla Firefox.
Updates to either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox will update the download scanner, where how the two browsers will scan the files before or after the download. (Manly your antivirus will scan your file after downloading it.) When you download .exe files the two browsers have a lot higher and better scanners than in older versions, and know whether to scan that .exe file or not.
Most likely GhostHawk used VB to compress into a .exe and that's why your bowser is showing you this. Although if it was compressed using VB, IE9+ will often not show that!

Well that makes tons of sense. *Surfs the internet to download Chrome*
