I think I'm tempted to agree with you here. A lot of people seem to believe that a joke level has to be designed badly, but I think that's because they've seen Cool Hills by BTB, which was designed with a lot of spam and badly-drawn versions of the sprites, but the real joke is actually NameUser's voice in sections 3 and 4 and the weird text boxes saying things like "I jizzed myself" and "lol NameUser's voice". Although I have to admit, the sloppy design and the spam all over the place did contribute to how funny it was, but it's so minor that the factors mentioned above make the level funny more than anything else.
You know, when I player ToB 1 playing Cool Hills and heard Nameuser i actually tried looking up his name on SMBX and Youtube to see if the audio is actually a legit "LP"
...i didn't exist...boy am i gullible to that "joke"

I forgot to add some stuff in my level before I submitted it :/
You can resubmit it.
Yeah you can update your submission all you like until the deadline. But try to only have to update it once, it's pretty annoying having to update one submission many times.

I don't know why, but it seems as though we're getting longer for this contest than the summer contest, despite the fact it's on for a month. It seems as though a month has gone by since the announcement was posted and yet only about 20 days have passed and there are around 10 days left.

Who thinks and/or feels the same thing?
Hey, More people means more levels however Longer judging as well....
imo, I personally Like seeing other player's levels as it shows how creative everyone can be on SMBX!
Oh hey, I actually submitted my level. I started it last contest, but after reworking the whole idea and then getting stuck on the second half for a while, I'm really glad to be done with it.
