NOTE: There are many conveyor blocks because people might want to use them differently. If you're asking yourself the difference check the soil each one is attached to.
NOTE 2: The cut light bulbs are supposed to be attached to a wall and will lit indicating the door below opened. Haven't drawn the door yet though.

Well, it's no tileset, but it is a WIP:

I'm revamping some of my 3D World sprites. Most I made before 3D World was released (around E3) so most were made based on what I saw of them. Though now that I own 3D World (well I have since Christmas) and have seen sufficient gameplay/sceenshots of many of the NPCs, I have begun to make them look a little more like what they look like in 3D World. My original Ant Troopers has four legs, Splorch (orange lava ball) bounced everywhere and looked terrible, Conkdor had the wrong palette and the Snow Pokey looked eh...
Currently includes:
* Splorch * Big Ant Trooper
* Conkdor * Skate Goomba
* Splounder * Skipsqueak
* Swim-Ring Goomba * Spiny Skipsqueak
* Blockstepper * Walleye
* Madpole * Cat Bullet Bill
* Hop-Chop * Cat Banzai Bill
* Ant Trooper * Snow Pokey
* Horned Ant Trooper * (Custom) Giant Skipsqueak
Anyway, that's what I have so far, so what do you think? I still have to revamp the Cat Goomba and Chargin' Chuck, plus make a few other 3D World exclusive enemies.

Awesome! Love all of those NPCs. What does the springboard thing replace?

Well, im not really sure what to think. You must be going for a "Toad House Interior" thing, IDK just my guess. Either way, aside from the background pattern, I find the ground and ceiling tiles of your screenshot to be featureless (as in, no pattern).

Currently it replaces the LoZ Bit, because it is supposed to hop (It's a Hop-Chop after all) and when stomped it turns into a springboard (through events).

I'm not completely sure, but by the fact that you're using that pattern, I can only guess it might be a "woolly" themed grassland? Though regardless what theme it is based, woolly, generic grassland or something else, I might recommend using a little more shading. It looks a little flat at the moment. However, as your first tileset, it does look really good so far apart from the shading issue. I can see you're on the right track to creating a good tileset.
Anyway, just because I can:

Shading is the process of giving the graphic a defined position for the sun which will lighten up some parts of it, while darkening some others. If you want to make a wooly pattern on your tileset you have to make sure the shading you're giving to it has a great color variation. I can barely see a pattern on your tileset, meaning that the color variation of the pattern is really low. In this case you need to either make the lighter part brighter or the darker part darker. Either of those would work. Also, you should probably check this tutorial here out, it might give you some tips of how to correctly apply good SMB3 shading.

That looks very nice. Also, don't worry, it's about practice that you'll get the hand of it.

I disagree, as its better to start making simple shapes on his own abilities instead of edits of other people's' work.That's how you learn to sprite.

If you think it's better to start like that it's ok, even though I think it isn't. For me he has to learn the basics of how are tilesets composed before proceeding to make one on his own. It's better to understand the territory you're entering before actually setting foot on it.

Not exactly a tileset, but I think it belongs here:
