Freakin' hate this game, it has absolutely zero depth and only exists to frustrate you. Also according to Wikipedia, the guy who developed it may have used bots to make it appear popular. Yeah...
I love how Flappy Bird got popular for stupid reasons. I mean, it is somewhat of an addicting game (only for a little while), but the concept is just dumb and plain. I do see, however, some potential of using the concept to make a future game similar to this more interesting.
Yep, it's off the App Store now. Phew. Hopefully people will stop being obsessed with it.
Considering that the developer previously may have artificially increased its popularity, however, I'm worried that taking it off the store may have been one huge PR stunt and we may be seeing more of it soon…
Of course, it really could be gone forever. That'd be great.
I wanted to play this and it was taken from the Appstore apparently. People cited Nintendo taking the game from the appstores but there's no evidence backing that up (people probably think that because of the assets used in Flappy Bird, which are very similar to Mario and Nintendo material). Nintendo denied these rumors though.
I love how many people remark that this game doesn't include any depth, when frankly this thread doesn't have any of it in the slightest, either. Flappy Bird is pretty much something I heard of but never actually experienced its gameplay, but I watched some videos of it on YouTube, and, well, looked at it and immediately thought of Super Mario Bros. 1 or maybe Duck Hunter. It IS a ripoff, even if one thing has its own similarities with its pipes. So people could stop being so addicted, I'm very joyful that it's removed from the app store.

Don't worry about it. You're really not missing out on anything by not playing it. Trust me.
