I had recently downloaded a few different emulators to see which one worked best. I used ZSNES and NESTICLE. I hadn't any games, so I had to spend around 20 minutes just to find an archived website. I get downloads from them a lot for Blockland and a few other games. They had all Mario games SMB1 to SMW and other obscurities. The site was in some language and I forgot to turn Google Translate on, so I downloaded it and I try SMB3 on NESTICLE. When I had to choose a file, the game wasn't in a valid format, so the emulator wouldn't work. NESTICLE works with .NES files. I found the archived website and downloaded their Emulator X6. After opening the program, a message box had appeared saying, "DO NOT USE ZSNES or .NES FILES" which got me interested. I proceeded using the .X6F files and played the games for about 20 minutes. Then I had freed the ROM and I used the .NES file, because: who wouldn't want to see why you shouldn't use them. I know it was a cliche choice, but what do expect when I watch horror movie? The game loaded up with some graphic errors. I expected another message box that said "ERROR could not read file" but, nothing I continued playing Mario 3 and when I got into the level 1-1, the color palette had switched to red and black. I thought to myself oh, hey it's a prank built into the emulator, but it kept happening. On each game. There were random message boxes appearing in game, saying "I hate you" or "DIE" now downloads can't become possessed, so I think it was a joke. You wanna hear the "Scary stuff" don't you? I hheard noises coming from my kitchen I went in not afraid because................................................................it was my dish washer, acting strange. Not paranormal. It's a joke, this here story is just a stupid thing that people would believe in. Creepypastas don't exist you twit. But they are fun to read sometimes.
