The Best SMBX Comic Ever Known

Postby Icebelly Yoshi » Mon Jan 20, 2014 5:07 am

So I've decided to give up on everything else I was working on and start making these comics because you obviously love the jokes and stuff like that.
Read in amazement as I show you my awesome drawing skills and some of the best jokes you will ever see, not to mention shocking plot twists all revolving around my new OC. Watch as other people being to make spin-offs of this comic and I generally shun them in my glory.
And behold as the comic becomes the greatest thing this forum has ever know.

--------------------------------------------
LOL BACKSTORY DEVELOPMENT AND CHARACTERS AND LONG LISTS THAT EVERYONE WANTS TO READ.
Spoiler: show
Blah blah blah blah blah first character
Blah blah blah blah second character
Some stupid character somehow related to first character
Some character stolen from another comic but it's fine because this character and first character are best friends (FNC I'm looking at you...)
HUGE AWESOME BACKSTORY REGARDING FIRST CHARACTER AND BLAH BLAH BLAH MADE IN A LAB WITH SCIENCE AND STUFF
More character development stuff regarding stupid relationships and long unnecessary plots of character kissing and stuff with dream date and not to mention the AWESOME (terrible) writing
Ok so not really but the first part isn't far off. And yes, of course I'm kidding. I think that was obvious

This is essentially the main problem that TAOK faces: it's become far too meta for its own good. This is excellent commentary on the community, Icebelly Yoshi.

Hurr Durr updated the comic and stuff and made it even better now LOL.
Jokes aside I actually did, just try reading through the description for a laugh.

The font isn't readable (I'm assuming you're using the small font typeface preinstalled on Windows). I advise you to use something more readable. If you need a good font for comics, try 'Hey Gorgeous!'. That font looks great.

The comic was okay, it was funny and had good graphic editing. But now you turned the topic into a disrespectful mocking of other people's comics.

I think you're just being a little too sensitive here. This isn't a mockery of every comic. It's supposed to be a joke on the exceptionally bad with excessive OC's and horribly long backstories and stuff.
Take it for what it is. A joke.

It happens.

I didn't really think it was.

It was a funny joke when there was just the small comic up there, but then you added the backstory stuff in an offensive manner. Maybe it's just me getting too agitated, but either way it would be funnier if you actually came up with a large and meaningless backstory for some random character.

The original yes. I went and then used sprite edits and what not. Stuck to a SMB3 styling except for the outlining being black instead of dark grey.

Actually it was hand made. Each letter is made to fit within a 4x3 grid.

oh god that font

While it may be fitted to fit the grid, it's pretty small, I'd suggest making the font a bit bigger and if you have to make the sprites as 2x2 or 3x3 pixels, that's fine

Wow. This is really good and funny somewhat. Are those sprites made by you, or did you find them online?

All the sprites start from spritesheet's, which from there I edit to get whatever pose or facial expression I need.

Are you thinking of making more comics like this and putting them on your own personal website, or is this the only one you'll make just to give people a good laugh?

I may consider making a few other pages for the comic here and there. But certainly not for my own website or something.

Last part is what pulled me in. You have a very decent comic on your hands.

Wait. What happened to Ragont and Knux's post? They were here last night, then suddenly gone.

I could of sworn... You did.
I'm almost absolutely positive.
Knux posted something along the lines of saying TAoK was still better and then you jokingly responded for him to stop bashing or else you'd report him for "feeding."

Didn't this happen or am I just turning crazy?
