I took the SMB3 boo, removed its face and arms, then put a boo buddy's on top of it, tweaked that a bit, and got this. I'm also trying to upload attachments to this site, if it doesn't work I'll put it on mediafire.
Credit to Redigit for the original sprite (I took it from the invasion 2). Also, the other stuff in the screen is by Valtteri.

No, the term "Buddy" used for the Boo Buddies just defines them as a group of Boos that do different things (EG The Boo Buddy Snake, Boo Buddy Swarm, Circling Boo Buddies etc.) Check out the Ghost Houses from SMW to see what I mean.
As for the GFX itself, I like it a lot. It is a simple edit, but it works well. Good work.
