Do you hate a certain level and wanna skip it? Or do you just hate every level and wanna skip those instead? Look no further, levels skips are here! There's one in almost every level! There are level skips for World 8 but I'm not exactly interested in making a video for it. Just know that there's skips in the first 3 levels of World 8 only

Happy late New Years! I was originally gonna show a video on New Years but meh, computer isn't good enough for recording SMBX apparently. Anyways yes, here's a video of 5-2, it's a Hydroelectric, Invasion type of level; also, thanks to bossedit8 for being generous enough to record this for me
Level looks amazing as usual, reghrhre. The custom tile set works really well with the SMB3 graphics. I'm really curious how you got a fire flower to come out of a block when Luigi was small. Also, it's easily possible that this isn't the first level to do it, but my god how did you get diagonal bullet bills to work? That's incredible!
By the way, why is the video called "really cool voicemail"?
That level looks very well designed and is very creative with the various elements it incorporates into the level, from the Cheep Cheeps to the various types of bullet bills! Great work!! Also, what's the music called? It sounds like modern Touhou but I'm not sure....
One other thing I've noticed....world 5 seems very similar to world 1 except it's more difficult, as from what I can remember of the world list World 5 is called 'Hydro Hill Grassland' and World 1 was 'Mossy Water Land.' I really hope world 5 has more variety then what I've seen so far, as having two worlds that are basically the same in theme to me is essentially pointless.

Oh yeah forgot to mention that I changed the powerup system in my game so that the powerup you want is completely random, it doesn't matter what your current powerup status is, there's a random powerup NPC in the SMB3 NPC tab. The diagonal bullet bill is actually in the Ultimate GFX pack, except I made that one replace the SMB1 Goomba. Basicially, the NPC is set to speed=5 and noblockcollision=1 along with some other NPC codes, even though noblockcollision is enabled it still bounces off things for whatever reason but yeah.

Heh yeah, it is Touhou music, specifically, the name is "Youkai Back Shrine Road" from Ten Desires. You're correct about everything except the last part, the first 3 levels will be a type of pre world 5, the theme will change quite a bit after 5-3 so don't worry.

Well, I suppose that explains it. I knew about that random power-up NPC actually, but I haven't actually seen it used before. Nice.
That still doesn't explain why the video is called "really cool voicemail", though.

Oh right, forgot to explain that, it doesn't mean anything, I usually don't name my videos seriously, most of the time the names are just random jokes so yeah.

Thanks for the comment btw, MECHDRAGON777!
Sorry, but I personaly enjoy World map screens! Anytime I guess?
Thanks Raster! Late I know, but I didn't really have a reason to say what I just said other than that.
Anyways, World 5 is now done! It's rather short, but the difficulty may make up for the length, that's either a good thing or a bad thing. And World 5 is land of the Touhou music lol, at first I picked songs from Touhou unintentionally, but when I realized I did it I decided to go with the flow.
Ooh, diagonal Bullet Bills. How fancy! New tilesets also look awesome as usual, reghrhre (I assume you made them yourself). I have to say, though, there's something I don't like about those angry koopas in the bridge level. They just… don't look right.

Nah, I don't really make graphics anymore mostly because I'm too lazy to do so, I'm ripping graphics nowadays. And hmm, what's not right about the Koopas? They're actually pretty relevant to the leveltheme btw
Liking the looks of this so far reghie, overall the bridge and the cave. I skipped W4 screens but may comment on them later, though you still seem to have your touch on these levels, expecting to see some more great stuff from you. Keep up the good work.

I trust you, but there's just something weird about them to me. It's a matter of personal opinion, of course. I think I'm just too used to the default graphics.
The W5 screens look great! The levels look really fun and well designed. I'd just recomend adding more decoration to all but the second level shown. Especially the airship, as that looks kind of plain. It's nice to hear that you're making progress on this and I'm looking forward to it's completion!

Oh hey welcome back! And W4 is a toxic forest/swamp btw, I'm only mentioning it since the screenshots in the first post are all scattered, they're not posted in order by levels, they're not ordered period for that matter; thanks for the comment btw.

Ahh I see, I guess I'll give you some info on the Koopas. They're Elite Koopas so they're a lot tougher/different than normal ones as they have unique abilities, to differentiate their powers, they're given an evil look and they wear scarves, though the spritesheet I got these Koopas from didn't really look like scarves (only the non parakoopas) so I edited it even though it looks like shit lol. These Koopas are based off of the Elite Koopas from a SMW hack called "SMW Yeah" but I gave them different powers since I can't replicate any of them in SMBX, or it'd be too much work for what it's worth honestly. Even though that's the case, here's a video of the original Elite Koopas if you're interested.

Thanks! I'm definitely striving to complete this no matter what, I'm definitely sure I can since I practically always have new ideas for every level. As for adding more BGOs, well, all besides the cave level are pretty busy levels as is since there's a lot of bullets in those levels, so I don't wanna have too much eye candy as it can distract the player which will cause them to get hit unexpectedly.
