Need some help with a few things

Postby Eyesoar » Wed Aug 13, 2014 5:59 am

I just started using the editor a few days ago and the only thing I know how to do so far is place blocks and enemies and edit graphics. What im trying to do right now is make the Mario 3 bowser boss (npc-86) not use his fire breathing attack. Also I want to raise his health so hes harder to kill. Can someone explain in detail exactly how I can edit either of these things?

You can make sure that the Flames from Bowser is invisible and that he can't hurt you by adding this code in:

Code: Select all

nohurt=1
By having a stronger health, make a New Layer and Event that spawns Bowser at the exact place where the other Bowser will appear after he dies. You pretty much have to Attach the invisible Bowser to a Bowser that is visible (by that I mean that the hidden Bowser Layer follows the visible Bowser all the time) after you adjust the Event that a Layer appears.

Im confused with adding more health how do I "make a new layer" and "event". I have no idea how to even start making one of those. could you explain maybe what I should be clicking to do these things?

My level from Mariobros12's boss contest used that technique. If anybody has that level, post the link here.

I'm trying to do the same thing except with a Boom Boom. I attached the second Boom Boom to the first one. I have the second Boom Boom appear and the first one disappear when you kill the first one, however, the first Boom Boom dies in the spot it spawned in rather then where you killed it and the second one spawns right where the first one died (Where the first Boom Boom spawned). Is that how it's supposed to work? Or did I misunderstand? I want the second Boom Boom to appear in the spot where you kill the first one.

You're probably hiding the first boom boom don't do that! It doesn't need to be hid since it dies already.

Adding more health is possible with a thing called Lunadll, but you shouldn't worry about that till you're a little more experienced...
