Any Pokemon Rom Hackers Out There?

DISCLAIMER: I'm not looking to DISTRIBUTE rom hacks of any sorts, I'm looking for someone who's experienced in the hacking of ROMS to potentially help me learn some stuff.

Pokemon rom hacking has always interested me, with the game being one of my all time favourites. Ever since I found out about rom hacks and learned some of the basic tools and some very basic things, I've always sort of wanted to make a hack. I finally decided it's time I do so.

Pretty much I just need anyone whos fairly experienced to assist me in learning some more advanced stuff, like adding more than the 386 pokemon that the rom allows (it IS possible) and stuff like that.

I'd like to use either FireRed or Emerald as a base, don't care which one really whatever one is capable of more. Both games I enjoy alot (but I enjoy Emerald more).

I'd also like to state that I'm not looking for people to recruit to help me make a hack, I want to do this by myself. Why? Well here's a quick story: I'm the type of person to pick up, do alot of work and get really into something, then just drop it. Hence why i've been working on an SMBX project but never posted anything about it looking for help. I don't have the attention span to focus on this constantly for a year+, hence why I want to learn everything myself. So I can not only tweak it to my image, but work as I please without having other team members so I feel forced to do stuff.

So yeah, any tips and stuff? I tried asking some questions on the PokeCommunity but it seems they just convienently avoid my questions.

i wanted to make my own hack some time ago but i neve really made it far... :/ I wish you the best of luck tho, maybe show me your progress some time

I know there was this youtuber who made scripting tutorials for pokemon romhacks like to script events and all that stuff but i dont think he still has his videos up... :/ I suggest you just search for tutorials on youtube, at least that's how i learned the little stuff I know

Well, this is what I'm able to do so far it was made for my friend, I will certainly keep you up to date if I do go through with this, I've had ideas churning in my brain since I was about 10 (ironic, huh?)
