He committed suicide, he didn't die of depression.

Yes but the depression itself did not kill him. If you drink and drive and crash your car, the car crash kills you, not the drunk driving.

I don't get why people are crying over someone who suicided. Suicide is the dumbest thing to do imho bc it doesn't help anyone or yourself. And afterall i don't like people who suicide anyway.

I used to think the same thing, but now I don't.

People who are suicidal are in a very different mindset from you and I. When you feel the deepest depths of despair, or that nothing is going right, suicide does come into mind. I think everyone has suicidal thoughts at some point in their life. For some though, it doesn't go away. A lot of them don't view life the same way you do.
Suicide is a very difficult thing to deal with when a loved one (who, in the eyes of millions, Robin was that) kills themselves. I have dealt with similar scenarios, and a few of my friends have tried to commit suicide before. It's a horrible thing to watch your friends feel so down.
So maybe, instead of ranting about people being suicidal, why not instead try and help them? What you're saying would only make something worse.

I try to be supportive in changing their minds, but it's not easy. From personal experience, this quote from Winston Churchill will always remind me that things get better.

"If you're going through Hell, keep going."

Because it's true, things can only get so bad before they have to look up again.

And finally, if anyone here is feeling suicidal, please visit; http://www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org

Because he was a person beloved by many. He brought joy to many people. To see him suddenly commit suicide is heartbreaking for all of us.

I understand you have an opinion, but the very least you could do is make it a good one.

That's a really awful thing to say: You don't like people who commit suicide? I bet if someone you knew committed suicide, you would be sad and take that back, and trust me, Robin Williams had family, friends, and fans, and was USA-wide famous, and in fact, he was likely known in other countries. Also, suicide does help people. Instead of suffering being alive, be peaceful being dead. He was depressed for a reason, too.

I still wouldn't say that to anyone, especially someone who is feeling suicidal. Might influence them.

This. Suicide is harmful, and a little selfish if you think about it. You are giving yourself "release" or some shit but it really, really has a huge impact on those around you when you do it.

It ain't cool. Don't do it.

I think the point he's trying to make is it's a solution to those who are suicidal. It's not a very good one though.

Suicide is a permanent answer to a temporary problem.

This article also words things better than I could: http://www.theguardian.com/science/brai ... ot-selfish

No i wouldn't cry about someone who suicides it's stupid if you do it even in depressed situations.
As far as i heard he had alcohol problems aswell. Besides why even Suicide. You could get help from people you know or friends and family. No instead he choosed to die and not get help from anyone not even thinking what it brings or help anyway. Thats why idu his fans cry over him.

Remember when Paul Walkers died in the car thing? Everyone cared about him but nobody cared about the driver.

So, you're telling me that if a family member of yours was to die, you wouldn't grieve because of the way they died?

It is difficult for people with depression to reach out to others. Also, you don't know for sure if he tried to or not.

Is that relevant?

Honestly why should i grieve about it? If they won't take my help and just suicide why should i honestly. Even though i don't know anyone of my family anyway since they abadoned me.

He tried to suicide before but didn't do it anyway.

For me yes bc people only care for ones that are famous bc they played in a movie, made some music stuff etc but those who aren't famous get ignored always.

Then who do you care about? Have you ever experienced a death to a loved one in your life before?
Regardless of how the way they'd die, you'd still grieve in some way or another.

You do realise that all you're demonstrating here is that you have absolutely no compassion or any understanding of mental illness, right?
