Question is, why would he admit his role, even in the beginning of the game? Maybe he wants to be killed? Maybe he is the jester?

If a mafia votes for the jester, there's a chance he will get killed if we lynch him. I don't see why we wouldn't want to vote for the Jester soon if he reveals his role.

On Topic: I don't believe murphmario because odds are against him since he was a miller (a type of townsperson) in mafia 2 (he wasn't partaking in mafia 3) so i feel like he wouldn't be a townsperson in this mafia, I feel like he could be the vigilante, mafia, serial killer or a jester. If he is a serial killer it would be easy to tell because we wouldn't have another person die when day 1 finishes, he could be a vigilante (or any other special) he could be blue, if he IS a special he could be trying to hide it from the mafia that he is a special, he could be a mafia trying to hide from us, but most likely i feel that he is the jester or serial killer

maybe the sheriff could investigate murphmario then pm someone to say what he is so we still have the sheriff and we know who he is

We aren't sure if he is the jester, the risk isn't that big it's around 1/4, but he COULD be telling the truth so that gives the chance that he IS a normal townsperson, though the chances aren't big

This. Also, TNT, the Jester's killing may or may not cause a townsperson death. The only way for that to happen is if no Mafia vote.
