Not trying to backseat moderate here (it is MY topic, after all), but quotes of yourself aren't bad as long as you don't spam them. I personally think what he quoted was funny, and as long as users don't really spam posts made by them all the time, it's fine, provided it's considered funny and not advertising (I should make da rules!).

That may be so, but it is generally frowned upon (HEAVILY) to quote yourself. It just looks self-promoting and a little dickish.
