It's her emotions that froze her room, not direct magic. If she had her gloves removed, she would've been a much greater danger to everyone. Her powers go out of control when she's emotional and doesn't wear gloves.

Besides, in an early version of the plot the gloves were the parents' solution to Elsa's lack of control over her powers and she was allowed to show up in public and be with her sister all she liked. The isolation part and separation from Anna were last-minute changes, basically.
Sure. I'm not arguing that your interpretation is wrong, I'm just arguing the validity of my own. I could interpret that Elsa's emotions were so powerful that an entire region could be covered in snow by her emotional reaction alone, and almost as quickly as the gloves were removed. I could also interpret that the gloves were a stopgap measure and that the storm was a result of a suppressed but building force inside of her for a prolonged period of time. What we saw in the duration of the movie doesn't discount this because we didn't see what would have happened if the gloves had been a part of her life for a much longer period of time. She could still have exploded, gloves be damned. Especially if her emotions can freeze her room despite them.
I think it's consistent with one of Frozen's main themes, as well as its theme song, that Elsa's gloves were not a literal permanent solution and that she, at some point, really needed to let it go.
I also think it's consistent with how she was kept hidden away, even if it was a reversal on an earlier version of the plot. If they really meant the gloves to be a permanent solution they could have just gone with that version and had the events unfold in a similar way.
It's true that this doesn't explain the separation from Anna, though. I don't think anything can explain that, except that it was a deliberately manufactured conflict.

That might be more a fault of the song itself (Let It Go) rather than the movie. I know I had a couple of friends who were listening to the movie's soundtrack before they even watched the movie. And let's face it, songs are often fads. To be fair though I haven't seen any more talked about movie or song perhaps in my life. I understand you.

Those changes obviously annoyed Anna for about 10 years

I completely agree with you. Pinocchio seemed a little creepy to me, with the kids getting drunk and such, but Jungle Book was a wonderful Disney animated movie. Also, Frozen is entirely overrated. I do this team called Theatre Team (we put on plays at a certain time of the school year), and every brake I swear I heard "Let it go, Let it GO!" and I thought to myself "Gee, how much idiocy has the movie sparked." I just don't get how obsessive that movie is.
Aren't all Movies kinda overrated by itself. I doubt if people sing the song it's the fault of the movie thats just like you would hear a really good song you like and start singing it. People would get pissed of you aswell then by this.
Yes let's agree all Movies are overrated not just Frozen.
Rather interesting video I found. The idea makes a lot of sense, considering this guy pretty much substituted Elsa's "ice powers" for "homosexuality."
<TNTElsa> "she was taught that her powers were bad an hidden away"
<TNTElsa> this is pretty much why frozen's plot exists
<TNTElsa> because her parents thought teaching her to run and hide from her biggest life issue is the way to solve it
<TNTElsa> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWRQaC9nzBo
<TNTElsa> welp
<TNTElsa> this guy literally just switched out "ice powers" with "homosexuality"
<TNTElsa> and got his theory
<TNTElsa> Nexia you'll have to watch the video to understand exactly what he's saying
<TNTElsa> it makes a lot of sense, but I feel it's safe to say it wasn't intended to look that way
<TNTElsa> Disney at point didn't imply she was scared of everyone knowing "she's homosexual" or "she's free now about the fact she's homosexual" and "her family still accepts this"
<TNTElsa> but switch out "homosexual" with "ice powers" and that's what Disney is getting at, at least for Elsa
<TNTElsa> that's the beauty of the movie and why so many christians try to blame this movie for being "gay"
<TNTElsa> because the lesson or morale is saying "it's fine to be whoever/whatever you are, no matter what"
I'm sorry if the fact we're still discussing it pisses you off. I'm sorry that you didn't want to be the better man by shoving your opinion at us just as much as we do to you.

This is why I hate YouTube Analysts sometimes. Head cannons are just that, head cannons. When I watched this movie, I didn't get any deeper messages about homosexuality at all. In fact, a message of not running away from your problems seemed like the message being conveyed. I could use the same example of the Let it Go song being Elsa's blissful ignorance of what she's done to her kingdom by literally leaving it in the cold, and how isolating herself has made her even worse at handling her ice power problems since she created a snowman that attacked her own sister since she did not learn how to stand up for herself. But that's just my interpretation on a completely blind viewing of the movie, and I in no way would say that IS the deeper meaning. Perhaps the current social stigma against gays would lead some Christians and other viewers in general to believe that Frozen has a message on that subject, but I just think those people are looking way into it and over analyzing it to the point where it's irritating.

One of my IRL associates also posited this idea to me, and I have to say I fully disagree with it. While I fully absolutely support LGBT rights in every way, this movie is not an example of that. Elsa might be gay, she might be straight, she might be bisexual, it doesn't matter during the course of the film. The movie is about an ice queen who is shunned for her powers, and it's awesome, but I don't think it's secretly about coming out as gay.
EDIT: Ice queen, actually, and typo fixes.

That's not really what I meant, I meant people who still run around singing the songs like it came out last week, and the fact that disney is still whoring it out.
I see nothing wrong with discussing a movie, ^this annoys me
