You can save the worldmap with custom-GFX like tiles, paths, levels, and
scenes from 1 to 32. But you
cannot put scenes from 33 upwards, because that causes the bug you encountered.
You can use one of two methods for that:
First method: You replace the original scenes from 33 on in the SMBX "gaphics"-folder and restart SMBX after that, but you need to safety-copy the original scene-GFX first (they don't show up on the "scenes"-tab in the editor, but they are still there).
Second method: You put the GFX from scenes 33 and on in your episode-folder, after you have completed your work on your worldmap.
I prefer the first method, as it also allows re-editing of the worldmap without removing the custom-GFX first, before opening the .wld-file again :-).
