A level from "the Clocktower

This level (2-2 in the game, but I call it Wonderous Cave here) is a level that I thought could benefit from having a bunch of people look at it before I release it as part of the full game.

By this point in the game, a group of Koopas who are extremely against a peace treaty between the Koopa Troop and the Mushroom Kingdom have kidnapped the Princesses of the Mushroom Kingdom (Peach and a recolor named Celeste) and are currently searching for a genie's lamp on Pyramid Island. Mario is in hot pursuit while King Bowser prepares a full military assault on the rebels. Mario has chased them to the Wonderous Cave (with all the Aladdin references may as well name the capital city Agrabah OH WAIT I DID.)

Graphics are by legendtony987. Music is "Friend Like Me" from the SNES version of Aladdin.

Is that (up there) even a good review???

I could say this level is too short and invisible blocks on fourth section isn't necessery. There's cutoffs (mixing pixels) , when door is placed there , and the boss is a bit tricky , but not that creative, ummmm, I would give this 5/10.

Hmm... So, this level has an average of 7.5/10... That's still good, I guess.

Can we get a proper level judge in here and have them review this?

Wonderous Caves by Icarus Ben

Atmosphere 3/10: The first section of this level was pretty much okay to me. The GFXs was okay, but the second section had this catchy theme in the background, which I kinda liked, but it didn’t fit together with the tileset which really bugged me and the section could’ve gotten more BGOs in my opinion so you should fix that. The third wasn’t good either. The way you used the SMB3 Styled SMB2 Temple wasn’t really good and looked really weird. The music didn’t fit here either honestly. I suggest using something else from Kirby or SM3DW. I did see a lot of cut-offs in this level

NPC Placement 4/10: The NPC placement was ok in some areas in the level, but the Coin placement was really bad. It was way too many coins in the third section and they were placed really bad. I suggest fixing it, because they were the main problem in this level. The NPC placement should really be fixed because the enemies were placed unfairly. I died a lot of times cause of that :P

Gameplay 2/10: Didn’t see much of it in this level. Only thing I liked was the boss which I found simple made, but a bit fun. What really annoyed me was that the Rinkas didn’t disappear when the boss was over, which I find really unfair. So you should fix that.

Level Design 1/10: Didn’t like it. Was boring and bland and didn’t find it fun. You should really improve this.

In total this level gets 2/10, which is a bad score. This level really needs improvements so I suggest fixing everything I mentioned.

What did you not like about the level design? That part didnt seem too constructive.

I can understand everything else, but what exactly could I fix with the level design.

As for the music, I'm actually thinking that I should take the music and use it for that world's boss.

The design didn't seem to be fun at all. The level was really short and didn't have much to offer. It could've been lengthened in my opinion. Sorry if I was not constructive :P
