Glitched Messages

I honestly have no idea. I was playing one of my older levels, and there is a mysterious bug that occurred. The first sign in the level has text put into it, it even says it in the NPC window. However, when I read it, the game goes onto a pause, and the Talk To sound-effect plays. If I jump, the game unpauses, so the game basically has a sign, and when you read it, the text box and letters are invisible. It also does this with P-Switch starting and P-Switch ending, even though I have nothing for a P-Switch event. Please help! :(

Well the pausing part seems kinda normal, but did you check what events you used for the npc???

In the NPC events of the sign you surely have an event under "talk" which have a tick in start under player's controls (this in the event). For the P-switch, in the event "P-switch start" undr the player's controls you have a tick in start. start is that movement which trigger to pause the game and it is pretty useless.
