Hello, everyone! My name is Icarus Ben (coming from my particular obsession with naming things after Greco-Romanic mythological characters and my first name, Benyamin) and I'm a serious gamer. While not a huge Mario fan (and, in fact, sort of not happy with Nintendo for all this dang motion-control stuff) I just LOVE SMBX. It's probably one of my favorite PC indie games, next to (surprise, surprise) Terraria.

You want to hear a little about me? Here's the concise version.

I was born in rural Illinois, grew up in rural Arizona (the part that's cold and dull, not the part that's warm and asthma-inducing) and am currently living in a very nice tin box known as an RV parked in a RV park on the Vandenberg AFB. I'm 13 years old, my favorite food is my mother's duck and sugar potatoes (with my 2nd favorite food being her roast with prunes and parsley,) my favorite console video game is a tie between Fallout 3 and TES: Skyrim, my favorite PC games are SMBX, Terraria, and You Don't Know Jack: The Ride. My favorite color is red, my favorite sitcom is 2 Broke Girls, my favorite crime drama is Elementary, my favorite actor is Melissa McCarthy, and my favorite movie is the 2013 version of Les Miserables.

Now, that's way, way too much about me, so I'll cut to the point. I really hope you guys will welcome me and all my sarcasm and cynicism with open arms. Just don't take anything I say too seriously.

As for what I want to do with my time here, I have an SMBX episode planned called "the Clocktower." I plan for it to be only twelve levels long, not including the two castle levels. The levels also won't be very long, and the levels are going to be meant for beginners mostly. It's just a way to get my feet wet. If anyone wants to contribute anything, I'll be posting a thread as soon as I have screenshots of what I'm doing.
