latest version of SMBX2 is for me the best because of how many features are there
way more than in smbx 1.3
more npcs
more exits
more map editor objects
more blocks
etc.

I started out playing 1.3 when I was younger, and that version is good, one of the best in fact. But if you're looking for a version other than that, SMBX38a would be the best.
It comes with the Invasion Revolution, which is a fairly long episode, so you'll prolly have fun playing it. This version also has more power-ups than 1.3, like the mega mushroom, the penguin suit, and the propeller suit, which are all from nsmb. It also has a good level editor, which I am currently using at the time of writing. So overall Smbx38a would be a good choice.

I discovered SMBX back in 2014 when I couldn’t find any good games to play. I stumbled upon Super Mario Bros X and instantly loved it, especially episodes like The Princess Cliche and The Invasion 2 by Redigit. I played them over and over, and even had fun battles with my family lots of laughter and good memories.

Later, I tried PGE and found it a bit complex, and even attempted to make my own episode. But I didn’t have many ideas, and I mostly relied on Redigit’s graphics, so my first attempt didn’t last long.

After SMBX 1.3 failed on my computer, I discovered SMBX2 Beta 4. I was amazed by all the new NPCs, BGOs, blocks, and other features. I joined the SMBX Forums for the first time and started exploring more episodes. I downloaded many episodes, including Valtteri’s first episode (I forgot the name  ) and tried several SMBX2 versions like Beta 3 PAL. They were amazing!

I continued experimenting with different versions, focusing on graphics, enemies, and gameplay. I briefly tried SMBX 38a and 1.4.4, and played notable episodes like The Invasion Revolution, The Invasion 2 Afternoon and Night, and The Great Empire 7. Eventually, I focused on episodes supporting SMBX2, which became my favorite.

Now, I am proud to be part of the SMBX Forums community as a developer. I work on my own episodes and custom levels, focusing on making them enjoyable and polished.

In short:

Started with SMBX 1.3
Moved to SMBX2 Beta 4
Tried versions like Beta 3 , PAL
Briefly used SMBX-38a
Now on SMBX2 Beta 5, which is my preferred version

Even though I heard about SMBX TheXtech, SMBX2 is perfect for me, and I want to make the community and the episodes even better.

The End  .
