Editor wont load custom BGO's (just bgos)

hello folks!

I'm having a bit of trouble.
i'm not new to SMBX but this hasn't happened to me before, whenever i put custom graphics into my level folder, for whatever reason, the editor refuses to load the custom background elements for whatever reason. everything else loads perfectly fine (npc's, blocks, etc.) so i'm perplexed as to what the issue could be. any of y'all had this happen yet? advice is very much appreciated.

did you reload the level? it might appear the custom graphics you desire.

If their BGOs then the files should be named 'background-x' (with x being whatever BGO ID you're putting it over) and not 'bgo-x'. I've made this mistake before, as the editor is slightly confusing because it calls them BGOs, but the engine actually looks for 'background'.

If their actual backgrounds then they are called 'background2-x'. I believe one can see this while looking at the backgrounds tab.
