Creating variant sprites for the basegame piranha plants

Postby mariobrigade2018 » Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:49 am

I plan on using several variants of the spitting piranha plants in my episode. However, I don't want to waste several NPC slots over an NPC doing the same thing, so I want to create variant sprites for it. How would I go about doing that?

If you want to have multiple of the same piranha type in one level (without copying them), but if it's on a per level basis then to as far as I know one should be able to just put the sprites in the level folder. I'm guessing there's a lot of custom NPCs in the episode, so another option would be to find NPCs that aren't used very often or are just in one level and stick those files in the specific level folder they are used in, freeing up more of the custom range. Hope this helps!
