Are there any plans to create NPCs that are affected by global variables, such as:
Rock Crocs who stop and go depending on whether a stop and go barrel is hit.
Fueled Platforms that fuel up when you hit a fuel barrel and fall when it runs out of fuel.
Kackle who chases you and will attack you after a timer is up unless you collect + or - time barrels.

As for the suggestions, it really just depends on whether I can find sprites in the style I want. Usually I go for SMW styled sprites or something similar enough (with the exception of the ghost ropes), but after finding stuff that I like that's when I make it. If there exist sprites of those NPCs, I would probably consider them.

Updated the thread! I added two new bosses and a jellybob for good measure! If the first gif for the gnawty bosses doesn't work then open in a new tab.

Added tires! These objects act much like springboards, with some being stuck to the ground, some float, and some are able to be rolled around!

Awesome to finally have a Boss to go with Pack. Do you plan on adding more Bosses in the Future? Would love to see the Barrel Boss from DKC3 in SMBX2 for Example.

Well, it mostly depends on whether I can find suitable sprites for whatever it is I want to make, I usually try to get things in the SMW or SMB3 style and go from there. Im glad you like the additions!

Edit: Released a small update with the tires, adding a new variant called the "Carryable Tires". Sprites by FireSeraphim and edited by The Thwomp King.

This pack is awesome!
But I have found problems related to the oil drums. When you have a bunch of flames in a straight line, some of them become stationary when you go offscreen and return to them

Thanks for your report! I have hopefully fixed this issue.
I've optimised their code a bit as well, and I've added some alternate gfx for the lurchins by SuperAlex, MiitopianOliveDA and NOBODY as well.

Released a small update fixing some bugs, and added two more NPCs: Slippa and Black Drums.
Another minor update: Fixed a bug with the black drums and Army NPCs

Made a small update, fixing an issue with the new launch barrels where sometimes the numbers for the timer would display as a white box.

I just wanted to let you know that this error comes up when you run into an Army with a held item:
And, even though it isn't your npc, an additional error occurs when ran into with 8luestorm's Barrel:

I haven't checked at all to see if this has come up before.
Anyway: I do believe that this behavior of the "ghost ropes" is not intentional.
Unfortunately, I hadn't previously thought that such a bug could occur and I hope that it can be "fixed" in an update. The level shown here should definitely contain Yoshi AND the ghost ropes.

Couldn’t you add a check to see if you’re on a mount, and then prevent the player from using it if that’s the case?

For some reason, problems occur with the Klasp family when Mario touches them or they try to break against the wall when you throw them, SMBX2 beta 5.

Looks like it's trying to spawn an effect but the id doesn't exist, make sure the effects that come with them match 760, 761 and 762 respectively.
Anyway, released an update! Mostly bug fixes, but adds two new bosses that me and Dracalgar Law made!
