I think you should stick to one kind of outline aswell, because the tileset itself is kept in a SMW-ish look with the japanese shrine and gold ore in a SMB2 or SMB1 look.
They rocks are made shiny on purpose, almost given a metally look. I can fix the outlines but idk if I should fix the gold, it looks good that way.
Also that is a mineshaft, not a japanese shrine.
I'm aware of the shrine. It just looks like one.
Also, why would you want to give a rough surface like a rock's polished shading?
Same goes for the gold. You won't find polished gold in caves.
I can change it, but there are A LOT of rocks in the tiles.

Global fill on the white colour?
Or is the white the same as the background?
If so, just change the background and then global fill the white you use on your tiles. You can change the gold colour later.

Edit: I'd love some critique right now.

looks better. Don't wanna post tons of nitpicks now as it'd be faster if I just ripped it and changed it myself and those aren't even worth fixing imo right now. I'd like you to make some slopes and stuff ;D

No need to rip, I already have it all converted to smbx already. I plan to release it later. I can make slopes, too, but I need someone to make a screenshot for me so I can later. I can send the converted graphics if needed.

I already got wine, but wine doesn't on smbx, JUST SMBX for some reason! Now I need people to do my dirty work for them (that stone I made is kinda dusty).

So can I ask someone to make a screenshot of every tile in my tileset? There is no need for ripping, I have everything ripped already, I can send a link.

By the way, I'd suggest you to don't use the ice block's palette for your tileset, it just doesn't look really well.
Apologies for the late reply.
The gray thing is a bridge. And why using the vanilla SMB3 ice block pallete is unfitting for a cold/icy/snowy world theme eh?
BTW, made some updates: http://s11.postimg.org/jl433j74z/absolute_zero_rc1.png
Still can't use yet freely, but if you want to use it, PM me and we'll talk.

By the time I made that post I found myself not too fond on the idea of using the same palette. But now I can't really say I haven't changed my opinion.
Nice update man, it looks gorgeous. I find the ice tileset's pattern somewhat weird though, wouldn't be better to use the same as the ice cube's instead? Again, biased opinion.

I understand the ice tileset on the right is weird since its my first attempt of making a water frozen over tileset that has transperancy while having those diagonal patterns seen in other ice tilesets.
EDIT: http://s21.postimg.org/xl54i6egj/red_ba ... ileset.png
I don't recall if I showed this one off here, but anyways, saw one of Natsu's tilesets, used one as a reference to make my own sandy base.
EDIT 2: http://s8.postimg.org/m9c1vx5l1/MI_new_screenshots.png
Small little bonus that shows a sampled collection of tilesets that I have made used in my own fangame.

There might be too much detail/not enough contrast to make it blend in with anything.

Sorry, I not understand what you says about tileset. You mean that the tileset does not fit in the smbx? =)

I think he means you made it look too real and that the fill has to have colors that don't blend too much.

I'm saying it might look out of place if you're using it in conjunction with wrong tiles/backgrounds/enemies. I doubt this'll look good next to any vanilla SMBX tile.
E: Looked into the SMBX Screens thread. As suspected (, to me,) it looks kind of weird and out of place. A little tuning on the contrast should help though. As of now it looks kinda "flat" if you know what I mean?
