SMW-styled SM3DW Bullet Bill Express (Halloween 23 Update)

Postby Squishy Rex » Fri Jun 24, 2022 8:56 pm

The Bullet Bill Express is back and ready to roll! Now taking advantage of what SMBX2 has to offer, this update now includes an easier to assemble train, a parallaxing background and some small effects to bring it to life. Everything is also included as respective tileset files for the custom tab in the editor.

Halloween Update
As spooky season begins across the Mushroom Kingdom, some strange transformations have taken place! Check out the two newest metallic monsters rumbling through the darkness. Introducing the ghostly Boollet Bill Express and the corrupted Squishy R.exepress!

- The Rexai Bill and non-parallaxing background was made by SanS1m0n, please check out his amazing work:

- The Smoke Effect was originally made by Marina.
- The particle effect smoke1 refers to the dark smoke used for the moving train.
- The particle effect smoke2 refers to the smoke used for the front wheels.
- The particle effect smoke3 refers to the smoke used for the stationary train and only travels vertically.
- The included sound effect ogg files were originally ripped by Random Talking Bush.
- The Static trains and Background Fences are simply for anyone who wants to use them as decoration without it being animated (eg. being stopped at a station) or to have the appearance of being behind the player/not interact-able. For the sake of being versatile.
- The hitboxes must be defined using the Invisible Blocks in the Misc tab. For best results some on the engine will be better placed with the aid of the 8x8 grid and "prevent overlap" turned OFF.
- The background as it appears in the editor (specifically the bridge part) does not tile correctly, however this has no effect on the background in-game.
