What is this?
At the bottom of this post you will find a zip file filled with 50 MP3 files, which are snippets of video game songs. You'll have to guess what game these segments are from. 2 of them are not from a video game though, they are the Intruders.
You do not need to determine the title of the song, only the exact game source. In case of the intruders, you only need to say whether it's the intruder or not.
Rules:
- Guessing a game correctly gives you 2 points
- Guessing a franchise, but not a game, correctly gives you 1 point
- Guessing an intruder correctly gives you 4 points (you can only get these points if your intruder guesses are no more than 2, as if you have 3 or more Intruder guesses, all of those will be nullified)
- If you are the only person to guess something correctly, you will get bonus points for it
- If you are the only one to guess a franchise right, you get 2 points instead of 1
- If you are the only one to guess a game, but not the franchise right, you get 3 points instead of 2
- If you are the only one to guess a game right and nobody else determines even the franchise correctly, you get 4 points instead of 2
- If you are the only one to guess an intruder right, you will get 7 points instead of 4
- Most of the time, only one song appears from each video game franchise - however, spin-off series count as separate (e.g. Mario Kart, Mega Man Zero) and there may be a low amount of exceptions, but only if the genres in said game franchise are varied (imagine if Legend of Zelda had more games similar to The Adventure of Link)
- You may ask for 3 hints in total, getting to know some information about the game the song is from. You can only use 1 hint per song.
