I'm wondering if someone's going to end up making a huge gfx pack with just beta related graphics, and recreations. I've seen a few already here, like this, and this beta shark, and a request for the beta Link sprites as a playable character I think.

An entire gfx pack doesn't sound too far off tho hopefully that becomes a reality

I think, but it's found on the Misc tab instead of the SMB3 tab.

The main problem I have with this sprite is that it was clearly half drawn and then copied and flipped around. The shading makes no sense either. It probably would have been improved later on in development if they decided to go with that, but again it's probably for the best that it never left beta.

With the mention of shading...it's at least okay. The head of the Piranha Plant is shaded darker on both sides like the pipe itself, and the stem is good. Still, things could be better.
