My top ten (from favorite to least favorite)
Pokemon Emerald- This game has the most adventurous feeling to it without having a few areas making my cry blood,
more...
Spoiler: show
This was the first Pokemon game I ever played and I still play it now. It's really easy to jump into and is a good time. The routes were all special and unique and blew away my five year old mind (when I got the game). It's always been my favorite videogame since I started playing videogames. I chose this over Ruby and Sapphire for it's improved graphics and stuff...
Legend of Zelda : A link to the past - I chose this over Ocarina of Time for a slew of reasons. I don't like Ocarina of Time.
Final Fantasy IV (final fantasy 2 in usa)- my first rpg besides pokemon, and all around a good time
Kirby & the Amazing Mirror- I loved the way this game was designed in mind of Kirby's different abilities and physics.
VVVVVV- It's much like Cave Story, but with less bulllcrap with weapons. It's fun to flip.
Super Mario World- As appose to many of the modern Mario games, this game actually feels like an actual world.
Cave Story- Metroid with a very good story with likable characters.
Kid Icarus Uprising- Very fun, Very Intense.
Castlevania- its.... so.... hard.... I'm stuck on the dungeon level featuring Death. I don't like metroidvania games. Those are dumb.
Startropics 2- Very unique platformer even to this day. I liked delivering Kleopatra pizza.
Please don't kill me for not liking Ocarina of Time

Sonic Generations: Game Informer hated this one (and for a retarded reason at that), but they don't matter because I felt this was a step in the right direction for Sega's mascot. It relived all the past stages everyone loved and grew up with and I was happy to be introduced to the older sonic games thanks to this one.

Luigi's Mansion: It's different from every other mario game, but I thought it worked well being different. I love the atmosphere, the music, the massive variety of enemies, and the final boss was just so climactic (for me).

Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon: Far Cry 3 for having great gameplay, great use of items to craft newer items, hunting animals, going around capturing outposts, and I love Vass (sadly he wasn't the main villain). As for Blood Dragon, it's cheesy 80's styled premise was just brilliant. SGT Rex Colt is fucking bad ass.

Prototype: I heard people say this game is poor, but I actually like it. It gives you the awesome powers that can make you unstoppable and I think the storyline is interesting as well.

Halo 3 ODST: Some people may prefer the other Halo games (I hate Reach TBH), but this game was impressive to me with a great story, an overworld you can explore, and the new weapons were great additions (kind of sad they didn't get in Halo 4). ODST also come with a disc of every DLC map from Halo 3 which is why I wanted to get it.

Mario Kart Double Dash: Besides MKWii being my favorite, this mario kart is superior in every aspect. The tracks, the character roster, the karts you can drive, everything is spectacular.

Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom: Brilliant overworld design, recreating the show just perfectly with very many characters we loved like Mr. Krabs, Patrick, Gary, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, Plankton, Sandy, all that good stuff, and the challenges are pretty well done and fair.

Ape Escape 3: The most fun I got out of this gem, using so much equipment in very creative ways to capture monkeys in movie sets. Bosses are so much fun (although Tomoking is a pain in the ass), and the monkey movie maker was a great feature for the game, considering the levels are movie sets, and I totally won't ever regret finding this game.

Crash Team Racing, Warped, and Wrath of Cortex: CTR for being the wackiest and funnest racing game I ever had, I for one think this game beats MK64 by a billion lightyears. CB Warped because it was creative, the bosses were challenging, and... how else can I explain this game? It's pure fucking gold on a disc. Wrath of Cortex tried to recreate the feel of the original games, but it was rather slow compared to Warped. Although not many people like it as much, I think TT did a great job with this game with the variety of levels, and colorful graphics like Warped (only not entirely as bright).

Metroid Prime: I've gotten far into this game and I'm starting to love it so much. the storyline is vague it can be explained and uncovered the more you progress. I even love the worlds you explore from the Tallon overworld to the Phazon Mines. It even has great secrets hidden in every world.

Battalion Wars: Very unique and really fun. The shooting mechanics are great with a massive variety of soldiers to control, a great storyline, massive battlefields, an awesome yet tough as fuck climax, intelligent yet fair AI making the difficulty balanced, and objectives that keep you on your toes.

HONERABLE MENTIONS
LOZ Skyward Sword: Not gonna include it on my list because it is pretty flawed in terms of controls and level design
LOZ Ocarina of Time: Just a great 3D Zelda. Nothing else to say.
Garry's Mod: I like screwing around with stuff so this game literally is up my alley, though I don't think I can count this as a game
SW Battlefront 1 and 2: Great action, great maps, and overall just outstanding
COD World At War: The best COD there is and the last good COD at that
LOZ A Link Between Worlds: Exploring every dungeon in no order was just a brilliant game design choice and that's why I loved it
Super Mario 64: Open world levels with so much to do, but I think Sunshine had better worlds to explore (for me)
Final Fantasy 6: I'm getting into it and so far, I love it. The story is great, the characters are unique, the world is just gigantic, and the battle system give unique combat skills to use
Mass Effect 2 and 3: 2 for great story and gameplay with a variety of weapons to use and 3 for the gameplay with armor customization and weapon upgrades and such
Mario Party 5: The boards were great, the story mode was unique, and the mini games were fun and challenging
Kirby's Return to Dreamland: By far the best in the franchise with new abilities, great bosses, and the super abilities were just a fantastic take on the platforming roots this game upheld
Donkey Kong Country Returns: The most challenging game I've ever played in my life (I did an entire let's play series on it). The levels were crazy as hell, the enemies were wacky, and the KONG letters now actually serve a purpose, giving you more reason to revisit the levels you already completed
Saints Row 2 and 3: Saints 2 for having fun characters, great missions and stories, and the world of Stilwater was so alive with NPCs interacting with each other and doing all sorts of things in any city. Saints 3 because it improved the gameplay for me now that the controls are no longer complex as all hell with a waked atmosphere with weapons like the dildo, lazer guns, and the DLC weapons which were beyond waked and I loved it for that.
The Simpsons Arcade Game: It's straight forward and tedious, but this is one of my favorite arcade games with maps recreating the show and polished gameplay at it's finest
Metal Slug 3: By far my favorite in the series due to it's extremeness and epic levels with mutant crabs, zombies, venus plants, mummies and... Jesus this game is so wicked and mind fucking I love it
Yoshi's Island: The most challenging mario game to date with impressive graphics, skillful level design, and bosses that are fun and give challenge

10. My Sims Kingdom:
An underrated game that is actually worth trying out. While the graphics are cheesy, it's always fun to travel around, solve puzzles, and help people out.

9. Mario Kart 8:
I would absolutely despise this game if the battle mode concept was different in it. Actually, that's not true but still. I mean, I'm probably the only one who loves driving around a big course and hitting people with your penis with your items.

8. Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed:
Superb game, and it doesn't get much attention. While it's a bit unmemorable, it's still fun and fresh and its concept is amazing with each lap being slightly different in each race. But it is a blatant rip-off of Mario Kart 7, I will admit.

7. Scribblenauts Unlimited:
God this game is so creative. I love the concept of helping people by using your little notebook, and the violence makes it nothing but better.

6. Mirror's Edge:
The only shooter game I'm really into. That's about all I can say.

5. Kirby's Epic Yarn:
NOT THE TRADITIONAL CONCEPT OF KIRBY 0/10

nah
This is honestly my favorite Kirby game and my fifth favorite game ever. The happy atmosphere goes perfect with the concept of everything being made out of yarn, and while the plotline is unoriginal, it's still legitimately good.

4. Donkey Kong Country Returns:
It sucks that I don't enough enough room to add Tropical Freeze on this list. I would say that that is my eleventh favorite game. =P

Anyways, DKCR's soundtrack, gameplay, atmosphere, puzzles, collectables, bosses, and levels, are all amazing.

3. Super Paper Mario:
I honestly cried when I finished this game, it was so goddamn good. It is my second favorite Mario game, and my favorite Paper Mario game by far. It also has a really dark storyline for a kid's game, but I like that. It's about time Nintendo avoids making all of their games so cheesy just because it's rated E.

2. Super Mario Galaxy:
Another game where I actually physically cried when I finished it. It was just that good in terms of everything.

1. Scooby Doo: Night of 100 Frights:
This game is stunningly, fantastically, greatly, splendidly, awesomely, perfect. If you have a Gamecube, get it. If you don't have a Gamecube, buy a Gamecube and get it. If you've never heard of a Gamecube, look up on Ebay "Gamecube", buy that, and then get it. If you've never heard of Night of 100 Frights, get it. If you've never watched Scooby Doo, that's okay. I've barely watched any Scooby in my life either. Still get it.
