The smbx2b4 launcher crashes every time I do something

Once I open the SMBX launcher and try, for example, to change the character or change episode, "SMBX has stopped working" appears. I tried to install the MAGLX3 version and the launcher allowed me to do everything, but I would still prefer to use the latest version for the corrected bugs.
