Oh that Koopa... he does look like he's very not-so-subtly based on my remake of the old Delightful Adventure Koopa. Poor guy, when did he get yellow fever, a squidward nose and saggy eyes?
That Koopa sprite is still different from yours from the feet, head, beak, body, arms & tail.
Yellow skin due to current Mario's game Koopa appearances have yellow skin, and the beak is made to look sharper and closer to like the modern Koopa & real turtles instead of having Yoshi's head.

I know it's different in some parts. I just commented on the fact that I think it's a fairly obvious direct downgrade. Since it's directly based off the one I made a couple years ago it's easy to compare as such, after all.

Is this "Something New" a experiment using different console color palettes? I like it as of the making of this post! ^^"

no, it's just a new background. I don't do them very often, so it's a change of pace from tilesets. Thanks!

Hey look over here, I got more time to add more tiles to my SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis cavern tileset*! Because why not zoidberg?

If you're doing a genesis theme gfx pack, you have to put in a sonic easter egg

I'll give this suggestion some thought while I continue working on it! ^^"

I said this because tons of genisis games had hidden sonics, so it would really fit. :D

Lookin' sweet, this might inspire me to try my hand at it myself.

Added in 3 hours 48 minutes 9 seconds:
WIP Sprite I'm making for my project. This took me about ~8-ish minutes.

Decided to continue to work on my SEGA Mega Drive GFX pack recently:

Please note, the Tree GFX is a WIP atm. Still thinking of what to add to it atm

Oh my lord! I got a few more SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis GFXs to show ya, because why not Zoidberg?

Yup, I made a Mega Drive remake of SMB3's sizeable GFXs, just great!

Damn, It's been almost an entire year since I said I was "coming back". I never did though.
Anyways here's a little grass tileset I made to test Aseprite. Also some rocks that might not be part of the same set.

I don't know which ones you made, but I think the cannon looks a little too flat, and the shading on it seems inconsistent. The light is coming from the right side on the base, while the light in the front part is hitting from the bottom. You could also change up the shading a bit on the up arrow, so the light hits it in the same direction as the other arrows, but at that point I'm just nitpicking. Nice work though.

Very nice use of color. I also really like the tileset. I think the bushes look kinda rocky, but it works I guess. I really like the giant rocks too.

I actually spent so much time learning how to shade rocks that everything I draw has a similar texture lol
I guess you could say they're underwater rocks

Added some more stuff btw:

That's pretty good but I think the difference of detail between the solid and background wall is a bit too important. I mean, the solid one is detailled a lot with the shading while the background one is very simple. Maybe adding one more color to the background wall palette?
