Favorite Mario Powerup

I do not consider the starman a powerup in general, because it would be trivial to call it your favorite powerup, and because you don't keep it permanently. (frankly, by that logic the Mega Mushroom should also not be considered a powerup, it's just another way of making yourself invincible)

as a matter of fact I detest it in 38A since I can't control it at all and it kills me every time.

My guess is that 38A himself had played NSMB DS for quite a little bit before making 1.4.x... I don't know

My favorite powerups? Well.......

Hammer Suit and Tanooki suit for first. Second, the Starman (but why it doesn't exist in the SMBX engine?) and almost all of the common powerups. Also the custom ones found in some episodes (in New SMGX there's one).

My favorite Mario powerup(s) are:

1. P-Acorn from NSMBU. You can glide infinitely instead of sticking to the wall.
2. Superstar from many game that uses this. But it's kinda sucks that lava and poison swamp can kill you. And also,bottomless pit.
3. Tanooki Suit from SMB3.
4. Hammer Suit from SMB3. You can damage them like taking 2x damage.
5. P-Wing from SMB3. Much less like P-Acorn's ability.
6. Propeller Mushroom from NSMBWii. I love flying with that powerup!
7. Penguin Suit from NSMBWii. It has 3 powerup combination.
8. Fire Flower from many games that uses this. It is kinda sucks that the first game shoots 2 fireballs only. In later game, you can shoot many fireballs!
9. Cloud Flower from SMG. I can make my own clouds?(Not a question)Whoo hoo!(Yeah,I know there's a limited clouds. But you can take another cloud flower btw.)
10. Spring Mushroom from SMG. You can bounce high than normal jump.
11. Bee Mushroom from SMG. Not much to say about this.

The blue shell is my favorite. It’s a shame Nintendo ditched this powerup in the later games. Also the cape feather>>>tanookie suit and super leaf. It’s more fun to use and dive bombing to destroy enemies is way more cooler than just turning into a statue. The tanookie suit is so overrated. Also mega mushroom are cool. Fuck nsmb2 for having them in only 2 levels.

The blue shell is my favorite. It’s a shame Nintendo ditched this powerup in the later games.

My only problem with the Blue Shell is that running quickly automatically puts you in the shell. It would be nice if you had to press down or something. The fact that it's automatic just makes it a headache to use. Otherwise, though, it's pretty good.
