HAMMER BROTHERS VS PETEY PIRANHAS

What is it?
Hammer Brothers VS. Petey Piranhas is an epic SMBX Episode (exaggerated) developed on 1.3.0.1, but can also run on 2.0. One thing that sets it apart from the rest, is its split-path storyline.
This is my first SMBX episode, so please lower your expectations, get ready for lackluster decoration and design, and feel free to give me your thoughts!

What's the story?
Mario and Luigi one day arrive to Peach's castle for a meeting, but something unexpected happens, and they are now far from the Mushroom Kingdom!
They find their way to Ri Hi Village (what an original name!) where a special event for their "Battle Zone" is going on. They think that one of the teams (The Hammer Brothers, or the Petey Piranhas) can help them get back to the Mushroom Kingdom. It's up to you to pick what team you want in. Will you make the right choice?
The Hammer Brothers are able to rapidly throw hammers in order to defeat huge onslaughts of enemies.
The Petey Piranhas are able to chomp on whatever the heck comes in their way, even if it's really bad for their diet.
And hey, want to take a break and gather yourself some stars? Try the bonus levels!

What's finished?
As of right now, one demo is available.
I will be working on the Hammer Brothers storyline first. Once that is complete I will begin the Petey Piranha storyline.
As of right now, there are 2 worlds completed in the Hammer Brothers story, and there are 2 worlds preceding the split path.
Using the level editor or cheat codes you can also access the unfinished and possibly buggy levels in the third world.

PLEASE keep in mind that I started working on this back in 2017 and I constantly lost motivation. I was a lot worse at English back then, so expect characters constantly saying "Your" instead of "You're". I promise I will fix this when the 2nd Demo is out.

Oh neat it's like Hypnosis Redo! Glad to see more split path episodes, since there's a lot of cool things you can do with it, like having allies in one storyline that are boss fights in the other. Fire Emblem does it a lot recently, too, and it's always very exciting. Best of luck with development! When losing motivation, try to figure out the root cause for the loss of motivation. For me, it often happens when I'm not convinced of the quality of a level. So what I'll do is scrap it and make a different level instead. Maybe this process can help you, too.

Is there any reason that you can't use SMBX2 to continue this?

If not, I think you should make use of X2's new NPCs, e.g. I see chucks and X2 has original chucks.

I also think this looks promising.

I honestly don't know. I just found SMBX 1.3.0.1 more intuitive to use and the realtime editor is something I really need. I might actually start using 2.0 for some levels though..

The legacy GUI is obtainable in PGE for people who really use it. As for the part of "intuitivity", I will always disagree with that. The icons are all well-explained (something the 1.4 editor is not doing), and it has plenty of tools that will make your designing experience a lot better, e.g. undo, quick multiple selection, quick navigation of sections and warps etc

1.3's editor is just so shit
