Which version of Smbx should i download?

Generally SMBX2 Beta 4 is considered the "most recent" version here, and you're most likely to be able to get help with that version on this forum.

not even true, you can play any kind of non-1.4-episodes (including old episodes) on Beta 4.

Some Lunalua API depreciated in Beta 4 while Beta 3 isn't. Also, you can't customize an effect using a txt file only.

Deprecated libraries still work, they will just produce a warning when you test in the editor (but not in the main game). As for customising effects, that was never possible in Beta 3 or Beta 4, though you can make new effects in Beta 4. I'm not sure why you brought that up.

Probably use SMBX 38A (Wouldn't recommend 1.4.5) or 2.0 beta 4. There both good.
