Chipss's Levels- (NEW) Spring Showers

Hello everyone!

Here's my first custom level in a while! I will be using this thread to house all my levels from now on. This newest one is based around teaching the player about the new Shyspring and Shyspike enemies.

Made in SMBX2.0 PAL. The Lua file should set your character to Luigi, but if it doesn't, make sure you play as him. Any feedback is appreciated! Thank you!

Yes! But in the way of teaching that doesn't require words. Introduction in a safe environment with increasing difficulty, etc. ;)

This is a really great first attempt at a custom level, I enjoyed it! The atmosphere of the level was pretty great with the use of rain and the darkness.lua combination. And the level design was fairly decent and the shy springs are very well placed. However the main point of the level is flawed. Crazy right? It’s possible to accidentally kill the shy springs if you slide down on a slope leaving the level unbeatable in some areas if you kill one of them. And as far as I know, there is no configuration to make npcs immune to slides. But that doesn’t completely make the level bad and it isn’t your fault that smbx is like this.

I actually realized this right after posting! I remedied this problem by just disabling player collision with the springs.
