It looks like you only do 16 races and then it's over for you individually. Next time, I'll bump it up to 24 as that'll give us more time. It was meant to go on for another hour.

No matter how often you've been hit, it probably wasn't as bad as in my case. I usually am first for the first two and a half round and keep getting a coin, and then red shell rain. I actually started to hate red shells so much that I stopped placing red koopas in my levels, not kidding. But it was still fun today. Hope I have a bit more luck next time, if we hold another.

That was my first crazy 8, and if you believe me or not, I haven't been given the chance to use ANY item. I've been hit until I was left with nothing. But you stole my star? Well, I guess I'll have to update my foe list.
Sounds like you guys all had a blast. Sorry I didn't get to join in on the fun! I was looking forward to playing with you all. Instead I just got to sit here all by myself, sad and alone. Don't mind me.
Apparently I'm far from the only person experiencing the difficulties I had, though. Googling brought me to several different forums with people getting disconnected before a single race or spectation could get more than a minute in. The only solutions I've seen were adding the Wii U's IP to the router's DMZ function, and setting up the Wii U's connection manually. I'm pretty sure I did both of those things correctly, as I could still connect it to the Internet, but no luck in the Kart department. Maybe it's an early-release bug with online Karting itself, and hopefully that'll get cleared up soon if it is. Some of the problems I've found suggest that.
I hope you host another tournament for the SMBX community soon, and that this will be cleared up by then. But for now, I'll have to settle for offline racing with CPUs, which continues to offer an enjoyable experience. lol see what i did there
Quill said we're going to hold another next week. And I know that problem, I had exactly the same one on my Wii. I had to log into my router and disable firewall or something like that. Sorry, I can't remember much, it's been a year. And even if I knew what I did, it might be different for the Wii U.
Sucks you couldn't make it, Chad. Hope to see you next time!
Here are the SMBX Community results for June 7th 2014!
Note that Fire Mario3434 was also participating in the tournament. From what I've heard, he got joint 1st place with Super Luigi! Congratulations to you both.
This was a great tournament, filled with action, suspense, and frustration! Really, I had a great time, regardless of Fire Mario3434's and my victory. Although I may not be back next week, I wish I could. Long live the SMBX Community!
Indeed. And if I'm not mistaken, you were leading for quite some time, my good man! Quill performed excellent, and so did Shy Guy and the Rosalina Twins.
